The Philadelphia 76ers will go for their 11th win of the season and their fourth straight against the Tebow Nation (aka Denver) Nuggets in what will be the start of eight homes games over the course of the next nine games for the Sixers.  The Sixers won't have to see Denver's "tebowing" mascot anytime soon because tonight's game will be the lone meeting between the two teams all season. Last year, Philadelphia swept the season-series and received major contributions from Thaddeus Young and Elton Brand in the two games. Philadelphia has risen to the top of the Eastern Conference alongside the Chicago Bulls, but are still out to prove the doubters wrong and that they do, indeed, belong where they are. They will have a great opportunity tonight to prove their superiorness considering the Nuggets are one of the top teams out west with a 9-5 record.  Denver is led by former New York Knick forward, Danilio Gallinari, and his team-high 16.8 ppg, along with the one-time Sixer hopeful, Ty Lawson (16.3 ppg and 6.7 apg). Filling out the backcourt alongisde Lawson is a former teammate of Jrue Holliday at UCLA, Arron Afflalo.  In the paint, the Nuggets will rely on their 6'11" center, Nene. He has a team-high 8.9 rpg to go along with his 12.9 ppg and his current three-game streak of 14 or more points.  Coming off the bench for the Nuggets is a familiar face to the 76ers organization: three-year starter Andre Miller. In his 12th year in the league, Miller, who last played for the Sixers in the 2008-09 season, is averaging 9.3 ppg and 6.1 apg. His reemergence on the NBA scene has him believing that he could be a starter. The Sixers will certainly have a test facing Denver, but their second-ranked defense in terms of field goal percentage and their dynamic "night shift" bench should prove to be the difference in this matchup.  Be sure to follow Kyle on Twitter @Kyle_Phillippi!

JR Smith Wears His Pants Inside Out

Have you ever been playing basketball and gotten your hand stuck in your pocket?  It’s happened to me before–multiple times, actually.  I’ve also tried to shoot the ball and ended up with a finger tangled up in my drawstring.  It’s a little embarrassing, and JR Smith takes preventative measures to make sure this will never happen to him again.  It’s easy enough to keep your str...

No Mozgov tonight – “Sandy” Koufos to start for the Nuggets

Denver center Timofey Mozgov will rest his stained back tonight, thus allowing Kosta Koufos to start for the Nuggets. Denver is 2-1 with Koufos starting. He has played OK at times this season, thus earning him a goofy nickname from this reporter. He had a big night in the road win at New Orleans this month, tallying eight points, five boards and three blocks. Also, Denver reserve...

Jr Smith breaks hearts and ankles in China.

Ancient Chinese secret.

The 76ers are awesome at defense because they like it when you shoot

The notion seems as simple as hitting the open man, running with the ball as far away from the other team as you can, or touching the guy on the other team with the ball as he tries to run toward the your base. Three-pointers count for three points, so they're good. Shots near the basket only count for two points, but you make a whole lot of those shots, so they're good....

A historical perspective on Nuggets guard Andre Miller’s big night

It takes a village. So team PR man Nick O’Hayre occasionally tweets random Nuggets nuggets (@NickOHayre). Last night in Philadelphia, Denver’s Andre Miller tallied 28 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists off the bench. Nick tweeted that Dre is only the second player in team history to have those amounts off the bench – the other was Alex English, who had 31-10-8 in a 1983...
