On Friday night, the eighth seeded Philadelphia 76ers took a 2-1 series lead on the number one seeded Chicago Bulls.  Although the Bulls are without their star player Derrick Rose, the Bulls are still a dominant threat.  With the series being split after the first two game in Chicago, the series headed to Philadelphia.

The Wells Fargo Center was electric on Friday night as 20,381 fans cheered the Sixers on to an eventual 79-74 victory.  The game had plenty of up's and down's, 17 lead changes, and many different scoring runs.  Here is some of the stats from game 3:

  • Spencer Hawes led the scoring for the 76ers as he posted 21 points, and 9 rebounds.  Hawes hit a go-ahead jumper late in the fourth quarter to give Philadelphia the lead.
  • Jrue Holiday was second on the 76ers in scoring with 17 points. Jrue also had 6 assists and 6 rebounds.
  • Evan Turner played a strong game as he went 6 for 8 from the foul line. ET had 16 total points, along with 9 rebounds.
  • Lou Williams left the game after being shaken up after a hard foul, he did return to the bench but never returned to the court.
  • Carlos Boozer led the Bulls in scoring with 18 points.  Boozer also led Chicago in rebounds with 10.
  • Joakim Noah left the game with a left ankle sprain, however Noah did return in the fourth quarter, but wasn't very effective.

The Sixers stunted the basketball world on Friday as they took a 2-1 series lead over the Bulls.  Game 4 is at the Wells Fargo Center on Sunday at 1:00pm.
