It took two overtime periods to get it done but the San Antonio Spurs bested the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of their Western Conference Semifinals series 129-127.
Manu Ginobili drained a go-ahead 3-pointer late in the second overtime Monday, to push the veteran unit to the winner’s circle.
With the Spurs trailing by a point, Ginobili took a cross-court pass from Kawhi Leonard shot the game-winner with 1.2 seconds left.
Ginobili, who had missed seven straight previous 3-pointers, finished with 16 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds. Tony Parker paced the Spurs with 28 points.
Danny Green contributed 22 points for San Antonio.
Across the court, Warriors point guard Stephen Curry had another incredible night. Curry double-doubled with 44 points and 11 assists.
The Warriors will attempt to bounce back on Wednesday in Game 2.
