Why Manu Ginobili won't have another disappointing year

Only a crazy person would think that one measly exhibition game against CSKA Moscow is enough evidence to declare that Manu Ginobili is "back." But it was enough for the Spurs to cut Sam Young so who's crazy now? I know what you're thinking "Man enough about Jeff Ayres Patty Mills and Matt Bonner when is Stampler ever gonna write about Manu?" Well you...

For Corey Maggette, it's the Spurs or retirement

Corey Maggette never had issues putting the ball in the basket. His slashing style, ability to get to the free throw line and rim made him a prolific scorer throughout his NBA career. However, those days might be behind him.  After 14 seasons in the NBA, Corey saw his numbers drop considerably with Detroit last season, averaging 5.3 points off 35 percent shooting. His worst...

Photo: Tony Parker's portrait is glorious

It may not rank over "The Kramer" but it sure is close. The San Antonio Spurs recently taped another round of HEB commercials and from the looks of the following photo of Tony Parker's portrait, they should just be as hilarious as ever before. Parker sent out a photo of he and Manu Ginobili dressed in fancy robes but the self-portrait of TP dressed up looking...

Orlando Magic to honor Tracy McGrady on opening night

image from espn.go.com Tracy McGrady may have only played 4 seasons with the Orlando Magic, but those four seasons were arguably the best seasons he ever played. In the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons, McGrady led the NBA in scoring with 32.1 points per game and 28.0 points per game, and in the process was a legitimate MVP candidate. That is why it is fitting that after announcing his...

Phoenix coach Jeff Hornacek, whose team won on the road in Portland and San Antonio in its first two practice games co-staring NBA competition, will have another opportunity to tinker with lineups. Despite looking at various...
