PLAYERS: Steve Francis
Three time All-Star Stevie Franchise debuted his new music video on Thursday. It’s just awful! Looks like a joke! Is he serious? It looks and sound like it’s from 2002. I bet Francis wishes it was indeed still 2002, back when people still liked him before he dropped off the map. Some might say Stevie Franchise hasn't aged well. A few years back a photo emerged of Francis allegedly smoking crack. Is it really him? You make the call!

Ex-NBAer Steve Francis debuts new single

Steve Francis has been out of the NBA and the spotlight for a minute. His reintroduction to the flashing lights? A new rap video entitled “Finer things” from his label Mazarati Music… I can’t make this up. Check the video. Are you serious Stevie Franchise? THIS is what you came up with? A rip of [...]

Steve Francis rap video - Finer Things

You may remember the classless way with which Steve Francis entered the NBA in 1999: refusing to play for the Vancouver Grizzlies who drafted him.  You may also remember the flashy crossover dribbles and dynamic play that made him joint Rookie of the Year with the Houston Rockets, as well as earning him three NBA All-Star Game appearances. Perhaps you also remember the disappointing...

For those of you who have been wondering what former NBA All-Star and Rookie of the Year Steve Francis has been up to lately now we know. Thursday Morning Links, Featuring Steve Francis

Ball Don’t Lie: Steve Francis’s basketball career is over, so he’s trying to make a natural transition into the rap game.  Unfortunately, he sounds an awful lot like Ja Rule (I noticed the similarity even before Yahoo! pointed it out).  Hate to break it to you, Stevie, but 50 Cent pretty much eliminated the market for Ja Rule and people who sound like Ja Rule.  It...

Despite the good, Rockets remind us of futility

HOUSTON It was fitting, really, that on the night the Rockets honored their Team of the 2000s, a decade marred by agonizing near misses, they closed a third consecutive season befitting the same description. Former Rockets All-Star guard Steve Francis sat courtside with the families of Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady on Thursday evening, all providing vivid reminders of just how often...
