It’s funny that when people constantly argue about who is better, LeBron or Jordan, they sometimes forget just how dominant a force Wilt Chamberlain was back in the day. Fortunately from time to time footage surfaces that reminds us of just how great these legends were, and this 20-minute video of Wilt Chamberlain from his days as a member of the Kansas Jayhawks during the final five games of Chamberlain’s 1957 season is a testament to just how special a player “Wilt the Stilt” really was…
Chamberlain’s stats those last five games are mind-blowing, as he averaged 32 points, 15 boards and six blocks per game en route to winning tournament MVP. Despite the fact that Kansas’ brilliant offensive strategy consisted merely of getting the ball down low to Chamberlain, the Jayhawks would lose the title game in triple-OT to the North Carolina Tarheels.
