On Sunday night I joined our good friend Glenn Moore at Cleveland.com as a guest on the Sunday Insider Show. We talked about Nerlens Noel, Alex Len, Otto Porter and other options for the Cavaliers at No. 1 overall. You can go here for a live stream of the show.    On Cavs Trading the No. 1 Overall Pick Chad Ford of ESPN weighed in with what he thought the Cavaliers will ultimately do at No. 1 overall on Monday night. His answer was Nerlens Noel, and he supported that selection with substantial logic that makes sense on a number of levels. He didn't come in like Adrian Wojnarowski did, though, back when Woj reported the Cavs will be drafting Dion Waiters. He detailed what he thought the Cavs would do, and that distinction is important to realize. So credit Chris Grant for keeping his "glasses on" throughout this process and not tipping his hand. Or not making up his mind yet, whichever the case.   Because just as Jimmy Johnson once led "The U" into the Orange Bowl, it is from within this smokescreen of uncertainty that Grant will lead the Cavs triumphantly into Draft Night. And anything can happen. What Ford did report, to that end, is that the Cavs are: "Engaged in trade talks with a number of teams. Sources say the Thunder, Timberwolves and Blazers have been the most proactive in trying to get the No. 1 pick -- but so far neither team has persuaded the Cavs to move out of the top pick." I'm not really sure what the Thunder or Timberwolves would have to offer. Maybe OKC is prepared to move Serge Ibaka and the contract he signed last summer. Maybe the Timberwolves are looking to work a sign-and-trade for Nikola Pekovic. I don't think there is any way that Kevin Love is available and I'm not too interested in Jeremy Lamb and/or Perry Jones III in a deal for No.1. The major haul here, however, would be LaMarcus Aldridge. Ford, along with Marc Stein, later reported: "What are the Cleveland Cavaliers seeking in exchange for the No. 1 pick? Sources say they reached out to the Portland Trail Blazers in an attempt to land LaMarcus Aldridge for the Nos. 1 and 19 picks. The Blazers quickly rebuffed them." That's a trade I would obviously make if I'm Cleveland but I would also totally expect Portland to rebuff such offers. The fact that Grant is lobbing trade offers for LA, though, is only going to make draft night that much more compelling. As if it wasn't compelling enough aleady.
