Victor Oladipo sings Michael Buble’s “Everything”

So far, the best highlight of the 2013 Orlando Summer League is this clip of Orlando Magic rookie Victor Oladipo singing Michael Buble’s “Everything” for the fine folks over at NBA TV: This isn’t the first time that Victor has belted a tune as you can see from the below clips:

Dazzling in ‘The City Beautiful,’ expect Magic guard Victor Oladipo to win the 2014 NBA Rookie of the Year Award

Rebounding from a poor performance on Monday, Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo flourished in a summer-league game yesterday. Taken second overall out of Indiana by Orlando last month, the 21-year-old Oladipo scored 22 points on 4-of-7 attempts from the floor. An aerial artist famed for diligence and preparation, the 6-foot-5, 215 pound Oladipo has long been criticized for lacking...

Victor Oladipo a bright spot for Magic in summer debut

ORLANDO, Fla. On his first offensive possession Sunday as a member of the Orlando Magic, hours after signing his first professional contract, Victor Oladipo wasnt thinking in terms of shooting first. His deference to his teammates might have been understandable, considering he was the only starter for the Magics entry in the Orlando Pro Summer League not to be a member of team...

Jeremy Lamb, Thunder cross up Magic defense

Jeremy Lamb was not having a great shooting day for the Thunder. Confidence though is all about taking the next shot. And Lamb is not short on that. Even late in a game where his team was trailing for much of it -- in Summer League, no less -- and needed timely shooting to get there. The Thunder found their offense and Lamb found his shot in the end. Lamb blew by Victor Oladipo...

Thunder's Jackson received three stitches after summer game

Jeremy Lamb made a late jumper and the Thunder beat Orlando Monday in an NBA summer league game. But the big news from Monday wasn't Lamb's jumper, it was Reggie Jackson and Daniel Orton colliding in the third quarter which sent Jackson to the lockerroom with a cut above his left eye. According to The Oklahoman, Jackson received three stitches above his eye and had a headache...

Thoughts from Orlando Summer League Day 2

Crossover Chronicles' Philip Rossman-Reich will be at the Southwest Airlines Orlando Pro Summer League all week. He will provide his thoughts on the day's action in this running post throughout the day. Oklahoma City Thunder 79, Orlando Magic 78 Jeremy Lamb had the ball in his hands in the final moment and pulled off a quick crossover to freeze Maurice Harkless...

Oklahoma City’s Kyle Kuric epically misses uncontested end-of-game lay-up against Magic

I have a sinking suspicion that Oklahoma City’s Kyle Kuric would like this end-of-game lay-up back against the Orlando Magic at the Orlando Summer League. As the Thunder lead by one with less than 7 seconds to play, Thunder guard Jeremy Lamb took the ball from Andrew Nicholson and threw it ahead to Kuric for the uncontested lay-up. That’s when Kuric blew his open lay-up and gave...

Thunder Beat Pacers 76-68 As Buycks Has 13 Assists

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Indiana Pacers 76-68 in Summer League play on Sunday. Dwight Buycks had 12 points and 13 assists, while Jeremy Lamb had 14 points and six rebounds. Grant Jerrett had 17 points on 6-for-9 shooting. Miles Plumlee had nine points, nine rebounds and six blocks. Orlando Johnson had 17 points, but shot just 4-for-13 from the floor.

76ers' Trade With Pelicans Dependent On Noel, Bennett Or Oladipo Remaining Available

The Philadelphia 76ers and New Orleans Pelicans agreed upon a Jrue Holiday trade a few days before the draft, but it was dependent on Nerlens Noel, Anthony Bennett or Victor Oladipo remaining available. Bennett and Oladipo went first and second to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic respectively. Noel remained available at No. 6 when the Pelicans picked.

Talking Summer League on David Baumann Show

Greetings from Amway Center for Day 3 of the Southwest Airlines Orlando Pro Summer League. I will ahve more from Summer League throughout the day (and in the coming weeks as I go through all the interviews and notes I have). For now though, as we near the midway point of the festivities, I took some stock of what we have seen from the Magic and from the Summer League in general...

Heat strong-arm Magic

The Miami Heat were at the top of the mountain in the NBA last year, winning their second consecutive championship. The Magic were at the bottom, finishing with the worst record in the league. One team clearly had its program and its philosophy established. One team is still figuring out what kind of team it is going to be. It would have been hard to figure out whehther the...
