Everybody thank Reggie Rose for bringing up this issue again.  By coming out and stating that the Bulls have not done enough for Derrick Rose, it makes you wonder how much help does Rose really have?  Is having two All-Stars enough?  Let us take a look at the top trios in the NBA, and see if Reggie knows what he is talking about. 1)      Miami Heat – LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh.  LeBron is playing out of his mind, but if he is off a night, Wade has more than enough left in the tan to take over a quarter or a game.  Bosh proved in last years playoffs versus the Celtics how important he is to the team.  The trio has learned to play together and are playing at a very high level.   Two superstars and a star in their prime surrounded by role players that fit their style of basketball make the Heat the favorite too win the championship.    2)      Oklahoma City Thunder – Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka – Kevin Durant has led the league in scoring for three years in a row, Westbrook might be the most athletic player in the NBA, and Ibaka is the best shock blocker in the NBA and is improving his offensive game.  The Thunder might be in a better position than the Heat because they are younger, have already signed entensions, and are yet to hit their prime.  3)      L.A. Clippers – Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Jamal Crawford – Evervything starts with Chris Paul.  He is the only reason the Clippers have a chance to make a run at the Finals this year.  The Clippers play fast, but in the payoffs, they will need Paul’s creativity in a half-court offense.  Blake plays above the rim, but had improved his short game significanly.  Crawford is a streaky shooter that provides scoring off the bench.  4)      San Antonio Spurs – Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili – The Spurs big three are getting older and are no longer considered to be at their best, but the Spurs keep on winning and Tony Parker is the biggest reason why.  Duncan and Ginobili will need to step up if the Spurs are winning another championship.  5)      Indiana Pacers – Paul George, Roy Hibbert, Danny Granger – Tough to know exactly how good this trio can be until Granger plays with the new and improved  Paul George.  What is known is that the Pacers are big, athletic and tough.  They will not be intimidated by the Heat and will play them tough in the playoffs.  Here is hoping that they meet in the Conference Finals and they form a throwback rivalry. 6)      Chicago Bulls – Derrick Rose, Luol Deng, Joakim Noah – When Rose comes back, he will be playing with two All-Stars in Noah and Deng.  Noah has improved his offensive game and Deng seems to do everything good, but nothing great.  This trio will have an “incomplete” until Rose comes back, but from the last couple of seasons stats, they will be fine. 7)      New York Knicks – Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler, Amare Stoudemire –  Melo is arguably the best offensive player in the game, Chandler could be the best defensive player in the game, and Amare has proven to be an offensive force.  What’s the problem?  No clue, ask Phil. 8)      Boston Celtics – Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett – Rondo’s injury has given the team a “us vs. the world” attitude but that only gets you so far in the playoffs.  With a healthy Rondo, The Celtics had a shot. Garnett and Pierce are veterans whose style is made for the playoffs.  9)      Golden State Warriors – Stephen Curry, David Lee, Andrew Bogut – The excuse “If Bogut stays healthy” is getting old.  If this team is going to become a legitimate contender, they all need to stay healthy.   Curry dropped 54 in the Garden and is proving to be a future All-Star and Lee can be a 20 and 10 player.  This trio can be on the way up. 10)   L.A. Lakers – Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol- On paper, this trio should be higher.  Kobe is still playing at a very high level but injures have slowed DH and Gasol this season.  If they can get healthy, and make the playoffs, the suddenly streaking Lakers will be a tough out.  But being a tough out was not the goal for this season.  Notable Mentions: Rockets – James Harden, Jeremy Lin, Omer Asik Ruben Parga @RFParga82 The post Top 10 Trios in the NBA appeared first on Pass The Pill.
