Some call Jabari Parker the best high school basketball prospect since LeBron James. Now the high school senior to be has cut his list of schools to ten. Parker, is a 6’-8”, 220 lb. small forward from Simeon Vocational High School in Chicago, Illinois. The 10 schools that made Parker’s list. Kentucky, Stanford, Michigan State, Kansas, Florida, Duke, BYU, Georgetown, DePaul and North Carolina. No shocks to the schools on this list. I am sure that Illinois fans are not happy that they are not on Parker’s list. “I want to make my decision in November if that’s possible,” he told The Associated Press at the Gatorade national prep athletes of the year dinner a night earlier. “I just need to cut it down so I’ll be able to go on visits and make my decision from there.” He hopes to cut the list to 5 sometime in the fall. Parker is a big time scorer that can score in a number of ways. He excels at attacking off the dribble and at the rim. Parker has also developed a low post g...

Either Powerade really does not know its audience, or the poor man's Gatorade has a sick sense of humor. An electronic billboard visible from I-93 in Medford, Mass., just three miles from the TD Garden, congratulates Miami Heat forward LeBron James on winning the NBA championship, according to the Metro's Matt Burke. (LINK: ) "Congrats, LeBron," reads the sports...

LeBron James Won Me This Contest and This Cavs' Card.

I recently won a contest from the boys over at Community Gum. Andy and Jon held a contest revolving around the NBA Finals, with entrants asked to predict who would win it all, the combined score from the final game, and who would be selected as Finals' MVP. I'm happy to have won, but what I'm most proud of is that my prediction of the Heat and LeBron as Finals' MVP...

GIF of the Week: Is this Real?

I know that we’ve seen all those ridiculous commercials of Lebron James hoisting up full court shots that go in one after the other.   And we’ve seen those ridiculous car commercials that make it look like a truck takes a 200 ft jump and lands just perfectly. But it is possible that this dude really made this shot?  For some reason I think that it’s real.  Though I have...

Lebron James, “Iggy is knocking down the shots”

Andre Iguodala, according to Lebron he’s knocking down the shots. Andre Iguodala according to Lebron James is knocking down the shots? The statements about his Olympic team-mate also included what we all know, Iggy can defend. While preparing for the Olympic games the leader of the new Dream Team certainly has pointed out to me anyway the obvious flaw in Iggy, he is not the man...

Kobe to LeBron: “One championship doesn’t get it”

They may be Olympic teammates for the time being, but don’t think Kobe Bryant has any plans of taking it easy on LeBron James. While playing together, they were interviewed by Sports Illustrated in Las Vegas during training camp. What do you think they were talking about? “One championship doesn’t get it, you know what I’m saying?” Bryant said. “So for me, when we won...

A once and for all breakdown of which Dream Team is the superior squad

The hottest debate of the moment is which “dream team” would beat the other team? The answer is pretty obvious yet there are those that want to hang on to their feelings because they were born at a certain time and they feel a certain way. I get it and I understand it but the truth is the truth and you can’t take away the truth. To really size the argument up you can’t...

Robinson excels at Skills U, New Jersey forward hears from IU

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – 2013 Indiana commit Stanford Robinson was one of the top performers after the first set of games of the Nike Skills U tournament near Washington D.C. He did a little bit of everything in a blowout victory: scored both inside and out (including a monster two-handed dunk), finished well in transition and played solid defense. Robinson seemed to be in attack mode...
