Portland Trail Blazers rookie center Meyers Leonard demonstrated in preseason action against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday that he’s got some mad hops. Drafted with the 11th overall pick, the former University of Illinois big man went up high, came down hard (that’s why they call it the “high hard one” as veteran NBA announcer [...]
LaMarcus Aldridge is getting a fresh start with his old team.
No, Aldridge never left the Trail Blazers, but this season is decidedly different for the All-Star forward.
The Blazers finished last season 28-38 and out of the playoffs for the first time in four years. They dismissed head coach Nate McMillan and let go of some of their more veteran players, choosing to build around...

Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson introduced his latest trinket on Instagram. A Hookah for the house. I’m sure trainers hate it but hookah is all the rage in the NBA right now. I know several teams’ players have frequented some of the lounges in Hollywood when they’ve come to take on the Lakers [...]
Its hard to justify getting overly excited about the draft, summer league or preseason.
But if you let yourself, even for moment, then you might get excited about the Portland Trail Blazers. They have, after all, seemed to have discovered a dynamic young player -- a point guard with pizzazz and a penchant for putting up points.
So, go ahead. Allow yourself to believe in Damian...
