Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard is already feeling comfortable enough around his new teammates to start joking around with them. To illustrate this point, Howard uses a slick move to wrap his arm around the back of Jeremy Lin's head and start rubbing his ear without being caught during Saturday's NBA preseason game against New Orleans.
It's all fun and games...
The refs don’t really respect Dwight Howard, so he gets no rope with them like other star players.

The Houston Rockets will be one of the leagues most interesting teams to watch, and track, in 2013-2014. I break them down in today’s column: Depth Chart- PG: Jeremy Lin, Patrick Beverley, Aaron Brooks, Isaiah Canaan* SG: James Harden, Francisco Garcia, B.J. Young* SF: Chandler Parsons, Ronnie Brewer, Reggie Williams, Omri Casspi, Robert Covington* PF: Dwight […]
Dwight said the same thing about Stan Van Gundy and Lakers fans, so take it with a grain of salt. But, here is what Dwight had to say courtesy of Bleacher Report.
“I feel like me and Kevin just have a special relationship already, from just the first time we’ve talked until now,” Howard said in an interview with Bleacher Report. “He said he watched almost all my games....
With their centers making their way back from injuries the Rockets waived center Jordan Henriquez on Friday a day before their first preseason game and trip to the Philippines and Taiwan.
With Marcus Camby and Greg Smith out most of the week Henriquez had received extra playing time in practices going against Dwight Howard who also missed one day. Howard returned on Wednesday after...
NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar recently blasted the former Laker on ESPN First Take yesterday:
Dwight Howard refused to work with Kareem because he feels Hakeem Olajuwon fits his game more than the 7-foot Kareem.
Now Dwight has responded to Kareem’s bashing of his game:
“Well you know, I don’t pay any attention to that stuff,” Howard said on Friday just off the floor of...
With all this talk about Dwight Howard in Houston, we forget that the Rockets have another star in James Harden and earlier tonight, he threw down a nasty dunk against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Watch as he soars to the rack for the one-handed stuff in the first quarter of play:

Anthony Morrow scored 26 points and the New Orleans Pelicans beat Houston 116-115 on Saturday night in Dwight Howard's exhibition debut for the Rockets.
Howard had 19 points and nine rebounds in his first game since signing a four-year, $88 million deal with the Rockets in the offseason.
Howard was 6 of 11 from the field and 7 of 11 from the free-throw line in 27 minutes. He...
Former Laker great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was on ESPN’s “First Take” last week. Kareem was asked to share his thoughts on the Lakers losing Dwight Howard to the Houston Rockets. Kareem gave Skip, Stephen A. and Cari and ear full. The Captain said Dwight is a nice guy but lacks a high basketball IQ and mental toughness. He also mentioned that when Andrew Bynum was with the Lakers...
NBA Hall-of-Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar hasn't been afraid to express his opinion this offseason of Dwight Howard's decision to leave the Los Angeles Lakers.
On ESPN's "First Take" earlier this week Abdul-Jabbar continued to bash Howard.
"Dwight's basketball IQ is not up to speed for him to be a dominant player. He has problems at both ends of the...

Lin the first Asian-American to play in the NBA is unique on any number of levels and the piece...
Unfortunately, unlike Dwight Howard who could be wooed with strippers and lower child support payments, it is the Texans who will make the final call on who will be their QB of the future.
He gets an A for effort though.

Dwight Howard watched how the derision dissipated for LeBron James how the mocking turned back into marvel. The path to a superstar's public cleansing for past immaturities and missteps on free agency's jagged journey doesn't rise out of clever commercials and endless explanations.
Championships changed the framing of LeBron James and an NBA title promises to be the...
