Tweet There are few nicknames for an NBA player more apt than that of Orlando Magic power forward Glen Davis, who has gone by “Big Baby” since his days dominating SEC basketball for LSU. TMZ Sports reports that over the past weekend, Davis apparently was upset that a hotel had no vacancies and he took it out on a front desk keyboard, just as you would expect from a big baby: The Magic lose to the Boston Celtics by two earlier that evening but Davis sat out the game while recovering from a foot injury, so there’s no telling what he was doing at a motel at 4 a.m. in the morning (use your imagination). Davis has since issued the following apology via his Twitter account: In regards to the incident that occurred on Friday night, I want to sincerely apologize for my actions. There is no excuse for what I did… … I was obviously wrong and I take full responsibility. I apologize to the Magic, my fans and the city of Orlando. Maybe Davis needed a hug or even a happy meal, but he’s right; there’s no excuse for his to destroy a motel’s property simply because they don’t have an open room for an NBA player. Do what normal people do, and find another motel to crash in. Big Baby, indeed. -ALR
