PLAYERS: LeBron James
TEAMS: Miami Heat
Even though the NBA playoffs started this weekend, the basketball topic getting the most publicity right now is 14-year-old Seventh Woods’ mixtape. Woods is a 6’1” freshman guard from Columbia, South Carolina. First off, props to this kid’s mom for naming him Seventh. That is an awesome name. Secondly, this kid is an elite athlete. I mean top-notch. And this kid is only a freshman. He’s only going to get stronger, quicker, and more athletic as he grows. Right now, he’s already probably one of the best athletes in the country. It’s hard to imagine how athletic he will be in a year or two. (Mixtape after the jump) I can only remember one other high schooler that got this much attention as a freshman. What’s his name again? Uhhhh…..oh yeah, LeBron James. He’s nothing special. Check out the mixtape. It’s unreal. Yeah, he’s 14 years old. I don’t want to compare Seventh Woods to LeBron just yet, because LeBron is a once in a lifetime player. But, this kid is special. If he continues to w

LeBron James Pulls a MackLemore, Wears Your Grand Dad’s Clothes to Post-Game Press Conference

The Heat crushed the Bucks in tonight’s playoff game 110-87.  LeBron James had a monster game, going 9-11 from the field en route to a dominating 27 point performance.  The Bucks hung around for a bit, but when it was time to put the game away, the Heat did so with ease. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard Macklemore’s hit song Thrift Shop.  Macklemore...

NBA Playoffs Preview: Heat vs. Bucks

The defending champs will take on the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the playoffs.  At first thought, this won’t be much of a challenge for them.  At second thought, it still won’t be much of a challenge for them.  Milwaukee clearly doesn’t have the tools to compete with the Heat. What Miami needs to do to win: Nothing special.  They just need to play their game...

LeBron James wears crazy red shirt to postgame interview

LeBron James and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Sweater

Sometimes you can't help but look at what some of these guys are wearing and go "what the f***?!?!" Like on Sunday when Miami Heat superstar LeBron James wore this awesome sweater while talking to the media after Sunday's dismantling of the Milwaukee Bucks, 110-87. Then again, when you go 9-11 from the court, 8-11 from the free throw, and fall two assist...

LeBron James opens Miami’s playoff run with thunderous dunk vs. Milwaukee

LeBron James got the 2013 NBA Playoffs going in the right direction for the Miami Heat with this massive dunk against the Milwaukee Bucks.

LeBron says he is Setting the Bar Too High for Himself

LeBron James knows that at this point in his career, he is going to be measured by Championships. Even when he does something extraordinary (which is often), it will all be for naught if he is unable to capture a second ring for himself with the Miami Heat. The all-time greats are held to a different standard. [...]

LeBron James throws down monster dunk on fast break during Bucks/Heat

As the Miami Heat set to defend their NBA title, LeBron James got an opportunity to show off his aerial exploits in the first half of the Heat’s game one against the Milwaukee Bucks. After a turnover by Bucks guard Monta Ellis, the Heat shifted into fastbreak mode and LeBron threw down a monster left-handed dunk much to the joy of the crowd at American Airlines Arena:

Video: LeBron comes up big as Miami rolls over the Bucks

The Miami Heat’s LeBron James sent a clear message to Brandon Jennings on Sunday. His mouth wrote a check his team may not be in the position to cash. Jennings angered the Eastern Conference favorites by stating that the Bucks will bounce them out of the  NBA playoffs in the  first round in six games. The end result? A 110-87 Game 1 beat down. Jennings did his part by chipping...

Heat back in playoff mode, set for Milwaukee

LeBron James typically cannot sleep much before the first game of a postseason. Even after 10 years in the league, three MVP awards and a championship, Game 1 still kicks his anxiety level into high gear. ''Like the night before Christmas,'' James said. Makes sense, since the Miami Heat have been waiting about a year for this. The eight preseason outings, the 82...

The 2013 NBA Playoffs Ridiculous Outfit Watch

In round one we had LeBron James absolutely destroy the competition with his very silly sweater. In the second version we have a match-up of six different outfits sported by DeAndre Jordan, Chris Paul, Joakim Noah, Blake Griffin, Mike Conley and Derrick Rose. It goes without saying but Blake Griffin takes the cake today.  Check out the man’s 1/3 sweater, 1/3 long-sleeve shirt...

LeBron James Makes Ray Allen, Mario Chalmers Do 20 Push-Ups After Defeating Both in 3-Point Contest (Video)

LeBron James isn’t taking it easy on anyone this postseason, teammates included. On Sunday, James was two points away a triple-double in a blowout win over Milwaukee. The following day, he made Mario Chalmers and 3-point king Ray Allen drop and give him 20 push-ups each after defeating the pair in a 3-point contest. Watch Chalmers and the 37-year-old future Hall of Famer bang...

Bucks struggle in opener, fall to Heat 110-87

So many things went the way the Milwaukee Bucks wanted. LeBron James matched his playoff-low for shots in a game, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh were held in relative check and the Miami Heat turned the ball over far more than usual. And none of it really mattered. Game 1 was a Heat blowout, as probably everyone outside of Milwaukee would have expected. James scored 27 points on 9...

Kevin Durant Says He’s Tired of Coming in 2nd Place

Anytime you are mentioned in the same breath as Larry Bird, you are great. Kevin Durant is a great player and one of the few SUPERstars of the league. He has a problem though and that problem is named LeBron James. LeBron has hit his prime and has a perfect team behind him to go on a run of championships. Only one person can stop him and that’s KD. It is easier said than done though...
