Found November 10, 2013 on Pass The Pill:

Everyone who chose to tune into the Philadelphia 76ers at the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night, received full payment on their viewing investment, as these two, young, exciting teams went out and did battle in Cleveland. The game exploded into a double-overtime battle for the ages, as Kyrie Irving and rookie Michael Carter-Williams did battle. This block by Thaddeus Young may have been the play of the game, despite plenty of highlights. Dion Waiters gets the ball in the corner with about six minutes to go in the third quarter. The Sixers were ahead 59-52, and Waiters appears to have an easy dunk to cut the lead to just five. That’s before Thaddeus Young comes flying in from the perimeter to meet Waiters with a viscous rejection. Oh my! Young sniffs out the play early and uses his quickness to get inside and stop the easy bucket. That’s a grown-man block right there. Thaddeus Young finished the night with 29 points, but the Cavs, led by Kyrie Irving, proved to be too much for this young Sixers’ club, as they eked out a much needed win at home. Spencer Hawes Steadily Increasing Trade Value

In a budding franchise that will soon feature the Flat-Top Wonder, Nerlens Noel, there simply isn’t room for Spencer Hawes. Which makes it pretty convenient that Noels is missing time, giving Hawes a chance to play and — given a dismal cast surrounding him — inflate his stats. Hawes is averaging 15.6 points per game and 10.4 rebounds per game this season — both of are easily career...

Daniel Gibson’s wife Keyshia Cole spotted hanging out with Atlanta club promoter

I guess Daniel “Boobie” Gibson and his wife, R&B singer Keyshia Cole are still going through a rough patch in their marriage. Keyshia was spotted looking rather friendly with an Atlanta promoter named Rugs at an after event following Drake’s concert. Keyshia recently hosted the promoters birthday party. Fueling the rumors that the relationship is headed for divorce, Keyshia...

NBA: Chad Ford on Anthony Bennett, the 2014 draft and LeBron’s free agency

The Bill Simmons “WHOA!” will live on forever, but the fact is that there was no consensus number one pick in the 2013 draft. What also appears to be fact is that 2013 wasn’t a year merely without a consensus number one, but a down year in general for the NBA talent infusion process. How much of a down year remains to be seen, but the hype for 2014 is officially off the charts...

C.J. Miles on Cavs win over Philly and Irving's performance down stretch

Kyrie Irving demonstrated the leadership he planned to embrace this season during the fourth quarter of Saturday night's 127-125 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. With his Cleveland Cavaliers trailing by 10 heading into the final period—after dropping the third quarter to Philly, 37-22—Irving truly asserted himself like the superstar he is for the first time this...

Shoulder injury proves Anthony Bennett's NBA start can get worse

It appeared that the start to Anthony Bennett's NBA career couldn't get any worse, then he suffered a right shoulder injury in the Cleveland Cavaliers' 94-79 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. One point that should be made: this injury was not to the left shoulder Bennett had surgery on during the summer. That's about as many points as Bennett has scored through...

GM6: (Beating Bynum) Rapid Reacts

Cleveland Cavaliers 79 FinalRecap | Box Score 94 Philadelphia 76ers Thaddeus Young, PF 36 MIN | 8-12 FG | 0-1 FT | 8 REB | 1 AST | 1 STL | 2 BLK | 1 TO | 16 PTS | +12As I mentioned in the Fo’ with the Foes preview, I wanted to see Brown go to Thad early and get him going. Brown did just that and it helped Thad to get involved. He struggled to convert on those ops (1-4...

CC video of the day: Bynum gets a cascade of boos in return to Philly

So Andrew Bynum played with the 76ers last season but that might be a bit of a stretch. See, Bynum may have been on Philly's roster but he didn't play one minute (due to various injuries) despite getting paid a ton of cash. Needless to say when he returned to Philly as a member of the Cavaliers, he got a chorus of boos when he checked into the game in the first quarter...

WATCH: Kyrie Irving’s game-winning layup in double OT

They call him Uncle Drew for a reason. That reason being.. Kyrie Irving has mad skills. The Cleveland Cavaliers young star wows crowds on a daily basis, and his contributions to the highlight reel continued on Saturday night, as the Cavaliers defended their home floor against the visiting Philadelphia 76ers. Kyrie patiently waits for the clock to dwindle down, then make his move...

Bynum: Reception Of 76ers' Fans In Return Was 'A Little Weak'

Andrew Bynum was booed heavily in his return to Philadelphia as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night, when the 76ers won in a rout. Bynum finished with four points and five rebounds in 18 minutes and seemed unfazed by the night. “I thought it was funny,” Bynum said of his reception. “I thought it was a little weak. I thought it was going to be much worse.”

Bynum booed in his return to Philly

Andrew Bynum has been mistreated by Philadelphia fans, 76ers swingman Evan Turner said before chants of “Bynum sucks” and “Let’s go bowling” rained from the stands leading up to the Sixers’ tipoff against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night at the Wells Fargo Center. The Sixers leveraged the future of the franchise to acquire Bynum from the Los Angeles Lakers in...

Did you know…Evan Turner is averaging 23.4 ppg. on 52% FGs and 58% on 2-point attempts.  His trade value has never been higher.  Deal him. Deal him now. According to Fox Sports Ohio, the Sixers have suitors for Turner, right now. Andrew Unterberger discusses how good Turner has been this season and looks at similar stretches of play ET has put up in the past.  Great read. The...

I Think I Love These Sixers

Unexpected Smiling Last night in Philadelphia, the Sixers beat the Cavs in the Andrew Bynum Returns Game. Philly Fan came out in relative force to boo the hell out of the returning object lesson in why injury-prone big men are toxic regardless of their supposed talent level, and they got everything they could have asked for. In that the Cavs took the lead early, put Bynum in,...
