Found February 22, 2013 on Awful Announcing:
Thursday the NBA's trading deadline came and went without any major moves happening.  Unless you count Jordan Crawford going to the Celtics or J.J. Redick being swapped for Beno Udrih one that will have an impact on the rest of the 2013 season.  In spite of the lack of action, NBA insiders were busy throughout the day reporting the various deals with sources informing them on the comings and goings of Anthony Morrow, Eric Maynor, and Dexter Pittman. At AA it was a happy "Chris Broussard's Sources Day!"  As much needling as Chris Broussard gets for his mysterious sources, I wondered, is he really the NBA's sources king?  Remember, this is the guy that referenced "Sources" after Deron Williams himself announced who he was signing with.  But are Broussard's Sources really a match for the other top NBA reporters?  Does Broussard use "sources" more or less than his NBA reporting brethren? On the 2013 Trade Deadline Day, forget who were the winners and losers in the association.  We want to know whose sources reigned supreme and which NBA reporter used the most sources in their tweets on deadline day.  The answer may surprise you... Adrian Wojnarowski and Yahoo Sports.  Chris Broussard's Sources finished all the way back in 5th place and only ESPN counterpart Marc Stein's Sources had a quieter trade deadline day.  In fact, Yahoo took the top two spots percentage wise with Wojnarowski and Marc Spears.  Ken Berger's Sources also had a strong day, but it was still no match for Wojo's Mojo.  Looks like for all the attention they get, ESPN's Sources are falling way behind Yahoo, at least when it comes to the NBA's trading deadline.

Celtics Acquire Guard Jordan Crawford From Wizards

The Celtics added some much needed depth to their depleted backcourt prior to Thursday’s trade deadline when they acquired guard Jordan Crawford from the Washington Wizards in exchange for Leandro Barbosa. Barbosa, who signed a one-year deal with the Celts before the season, has an expiring contract and will not play for the remainder of this season due to a torn ACL he suffered...

Grading the Crawford - Barbosa trade

He seems to be happy. I had already posted some statistics about Jordan Crawford early in the morning because that deal made too much sense, (CelticsLife: always gives you the fastest updates and insights) but now that it's official I would like to delve more into the subject. First of all, the Celtics have found the almost perfect replacement for Leandro Barbosa. Jordan Crawford...

J.J. Redick says good-bye to Orlando

The reality is still setting in that J.J. Redick is no longer a member of the Orlando Magic. He was with the team in Dallas yesterday and returned home after the announcement of the deal before heading off to Milwaukee this morning. It was an emotional day for both Magic fans and for Redick. In two interviews -- with Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel and David Baumann...

J.J. Redick scores 16 in Milwaukee Bucks debut

J.J. Redick made his Milwaukee Bucks debut, playing 35 minutes off the bench and scoring 16 points (4-of-9 field goals and 7-of-7 free throws). The sharpshooter added a three, three rebounds and seven assists. Not a bad start in the Brew City. Luc Mbah a Moute looked to take a hit, playing just 15 minutes (six points and four rebounds). Gustavo Ayon and Ish Smith both picked...

Wizards Trade Jordan Crawford To The Celtics

According to David Aldridge, the Celtics traded for Wizards third leading scorer, Jordan Crawford, who recently fell out of the team’s rotation. Opting for a offense focused on ball distribution, the Wizards have gone 5-3 without the more 1-on-1 styled Crawford.  In 43 appearances, the 3rd year guard has averaged 13.2 points, 3.7 assists and 3.1 rebounds. The Celtics will send...

Spurs Interested In J.J. Redick

J.J. Redick will be a free agent this offseason and the Magic are seeking a first round pick for him.

Comments from the Other Side - Jordan Crawford Edition

I'm convinced that the best way to evaluate a player is to see what the fans of the team he last played for say about him. So, I went to the Wizards fans to see what they had to say about their departing guard.   For the most part, they were angrier about what they didn't get back than losing Crawford.   Steez gon light it up in Boston y'all When the Crawford for...

Bucks believe Redick will fit in nicely

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. After acquiring J.J. Redick in a trade with the Magic on Thursday, Bucks general manager John Hammond's mind traveled back to a story his former boss used to tell him about a three-guard rotation working. The general manager of the Detroit Pistons, Joe Dumars, described how he and Isiah Thomas gave up minutes to Vinnie Johnson in order to help the Pistons...

Report: Boston Celtics Acquire Jordan Crawford From Washington Wizards

It’s not a trade involving Kevin Garnett or Paul Pierce, but it’s still worth talking. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Boston Celtics have dealt Leandro Barbosa’s expiring contract for Jordan Crawford. This deal originally involved Fab Melo, but the C’s persuaded Washington. Celtics will send the Leandro Barbosa expiring contract to the Wizards for Jordan...

J.J. Redick traded to the Milwaukee Bucks

Tweet One of the biggest dominoes on the NBA trade market has finally fallen, with the Milwaukee Bucks landing guard J.J. Redick from the Orlando Magic for Doron Lamb, Tobias Harris and Beno Udoh, according to Y! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski. Redick will be an unrestricted free agent this summer and is having a solid all-around [...]

By trading for J.J. Redick, the Bucks display win-now approach

Instead of acquiring Josh Smith from the Hawks, as was widely rumored that they would, the Bucks swung a deal to bring in J.J. Redick from the Magic On a trade deadline day which did not hold many surprises and/or major deals, one involving the Magic and Bucks probably held the most intrigue. In a six-player deal, Orlando traded their fan-favorite shooting guard...

Spurs stand pat at trade deadline for stretch run

Despite being linked to every big name available in the trade market, the San Antonio Spurs stood pat during the trade deadline. The team was linked to Al Jefferson, Josh Smith, and most recently J.J. Redick, but there's also reports coming out that San Antonio expressed interest in Jason Maxiell from the Detroit Pistons. The San Antonio Spurs also inquired about...

Today is the day that maybe everything in fantasy basketball changes. Maybe not! No, no, definitely stuff will change! My Magic 8 Ball sees Josh Smith on the Smoove. Get out the pun police again! My Magic 8 Ball thinks J.J. Redick is turning in his Mickey Mouse ears possibly for some Cheese Head thingy or whatever it is they wear up in Wisconsin. Perhaps Monta Ellis heads down to...
