Thursday the NBA's trading deadline came and went without any major moves happening.  Unless you count Jordan Crawford going to the Celtics or J.J. Redick being swapped for Beno Udrih one that will have an impact on the rest of the 2013 season.  In spite of the lack of action, NBA insiders were busy throughout the day reporting the various deals with sources informing them on the comings and goings of Anthony Morrow, Eric Maynor, and Dexter Pittman. At AA it was a happy "Chris Broussard's Sources Day!"  As much needling as Chris Broussard gets for his mysterious sources, I wondered, is he really the NBA's sources king?  Remember, this is the guy that referenced "Sources" after Deron Williams himself announced who he was signing with.  But are Broussard's Sources really a match for the other top NBA reporters?  Does Broussard use "sources" more or less than his NBA reporting brethren? On the 2013 Trade Deadline Day, forget who were the winners and losers in the association.  We want to know whose sources reigned supreme and which NBA reporter used the most sources in their tweets on deadline day.  The answer may surprise you... Marc Stein, ESPN Total tweets: 22 Sources tweets: 2 Percentage: 9.1% Bucks, I'm told, working on acquiring JJ Redick before deadline and NOT trying to complete deal for Josh Smith — Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) February 21, 2013 Eric Maynor going from OKC to the Blazers is 100 percent happening, sources say — Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) February 21, 2013 Chris Broussard, ESPN Total tweets: 14 Sources tweets: 7 Percentage: 50% Sebastian Telfair to Toronto For Hamed Haddadi deal done, source says — Chris Broussard (@Chris_Broussard) February 21, 2013 One exec involved in talks w/ATL for J Smith now saying "50/50 chance he gets traded." That's a downgrade from yesterday. — Chris Broussard (@Chris_Broussard) February 21, 2013 David Aldridge, TNT Total tweets: 22 Sources tweets: 12 Percentage: 54.5% Source: Wizards guard Jordan Crawford will be traded to the Celtics. — David Aldridge (@daldridgetnt) February 21, 2013 Source confirms @wojyahoonba report of Ish Smith, Gustavo Ayon going with Redick to MKE for Beno Udrih, Doron Lamb, Tobias Harris. — David Aldridge (@daldridgetnt) February 21, 2013 For all the Josh Smith talk, I am stunned that the Jazz didn't make a move of any kind. Millsap, Jefferson, Watson, Bell all still in SLC. — David Aldridge (@daldridgetnt) February 21, 2013 Ken Berger, CBS Total tweets: 36 Sources tweets: 22 Percentage: 61.1% As teams wait for the Hawks to sift through offers for Josh Smith, the Nets have "pulled the plug" on Ben Gordon talks, league source says. — Ken Berger (@KBergCBS) February 21, 2013 Memphis is close to acquiring Dexter Pittman from Miami for a second-round pick, league source confirms. — Ken Berger (@KBergCBS) February 21, 2013 Marc Spears, Yahoo Total tweets: 23 Sources tweets: 15 Percentage: 65.2% Knicks have agreed to sign veteran forward Kenyon Martin to a 10-day contract, a source told Yahoo! Sports. — Marc J. Spears (@SpearsNBAYahoo) February 21, 2013 Bobcats send forward Hakim Warrick to Magic for Josh McRoberts, source tells Y! — Marc J. Spears (@SpearsNBAYahoo) February 21, 2013 Thunder has traded reserve point guard Eric Maynor to Blazers, a source told Y! Sports. — Marc J. Spears (@SpearsNBAYahoo) February 21, 2013 Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo Total tweets: 48 Sources tweets: 37 Percentage: 77.1% So far, Spurs don't have a deal in place for expiring contract of DeJuan Blair, league sources tell Y! Trade deadline is 3 PM ET. — Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) February 21, 2013 Boston will send Jason Collins to the Wizards part of Jordan Crawford deal, source tells Y! Sports. — Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) February 21, 2013 Blazers will send the draft rights of Giorgio Printezis to the Thunder as part of the Eric Maynor deal, source tells Y! — Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) February 21, 2013 In a surprising twist of fate, the NBA's Sources King is... Adrian Wojnarowski and Yahoo Sports.  Chris Broussard's Sources finished all the way back in 5th place and only ESPN counterpart Marc Stein's Sources had a quieter trade deadline day.  In fact, Yahoo took the top two spots percentage wise with Wojnarowski and Marc Spears.  Ken Berger's Sources also had a strong day, but it was still no match for Wojo's Mojo.  Looks like for all the attention they get, ESPN's Sources are falling way behind Yahoo, at least when it comes to the NBA's trading deadline.
