Obama-and-lakers-visit
Even for someone who has encountered so much success, since entering the Association back in 1996, this had to have been a very special week for Los Angeles Lakers All-Star guard Kobe Bryant. Sunday, “The Black Mamba” knocked down 17 points, in what he claims is his final Olympic game as Team USA won their second consecutive Gold Medal in basketball, defeating a very tough Team Spain, by a final of 107-100. If Bryant sticks to his vow, he exits the games with a perfect record of 2-0. Kobe also received some exciting news this past week while he was in London for the 2012 Olympic competition, that emanated from the West Coast of the USA, involving his team. Bryant found out that he will be running the floor with the best center of his generation, for at least the upcoming campaign, as the Lakers acquired former Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard in a four-team trade, Thursday night. Although Bryant was supposed to be concentrating strictly on the games ahead for Team USA, when he he...

Kobe Bryant calls Andrew Bynum ‘nothing’

There is only one NBA player for the last several years that hasn’t been afraid to give his opinion on his teammates, and that is Kobe Bryant. Kobe has been the Alpha ever since Shaq was shipped out-of-town from the Los Angeles Laker. Without remorse, Kobe says what he wants about teammates, coaches, management, or [...]

This is from Kobe’s official Facebook Fan Page. Well, it looks like Superman has found a home. I wish nothing but the best for Big Bynum. U.S. Basketball's Scare Against Spain Shows Gains Made by Rest of World, Not America's Weakness (Video)

The 2012 version of the Dream Team won gold, but just barely. LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant and Co. needed every bit of star power they had to overcome a tough Spain team in the gold medal game 107-100. While the comparisons to the 1992 Dream Team that ran roughshod over its competition in Barcelona may persist, this year's road to the final game revealed a much different...

U.S. Beat Spain, win gold in men's basketball

The United States men's basketball team defended its title on Sunday pulling away from Spain in the final minutes for a 107-100 victory.   The U.S. had to battle to the final whistle, just like in 2008 to win the gold medal at the London Olympic Games.   Kevin Durant scored 30 points and LeBron James added 19.  James joins Michael Jordan as the only players to win an NBA...

We noted earlier that former WWE talent AW spoke with CTPost.com about his release and says he was fired for last week’s Linda McMahon tweet. In an interesting tidbit from that interview, he revealed that he received a phone call last Friday from WWE executive Jane Geddes informing him of the release. This shows that Geddes is now handling the departures. Previously that was a...
