Despite the fact that they’ve been playing without their star forward, Dirk Nowitzki, the Dallas Mavericks are finally enjoying a little success with a nice little 3-game winning streak that has pushed Mark Cuban’s underachievers above .500 for the first time since Nov. 21. And to make that good news even better, it seems that Nowitzki will be back… eventually. Bah, who needs injury updates and reports when you’re winning, right Mavs fans? That said, the Boston Celtics will win tonight.NBA: Dallas Mavericks at Boston Celtics – 8 PM ET on ESPNActually, this should be a pretty great game, with both teams struggling to find their grooves early in this NBA season. And there’s absolutely nothing else of worth on, so you might as well watch it and then submit your thoughts to NBA Confessions. Specifically that one you’ve been having about Rajon Rondo. Yeah, I know all about that, you perverts.WWE Main Event – 6:30 PM ET on IONI was going to ask once again how this mid-week WWE programming is going, but I see that it has already been moved to 6:30. That’s pretty odd. Maybe they just wanted to make it earlier so Rey Mysterio can go out and celebrate his birthday with everyone.Jim Rome on Showtime – 10 PM ET on Showtime, obviouslyRome’s new show hasn’t been too shabby. About par for the course for the “Love him or hate him” sports talking head.NBA: San Antonio Spurs at Utah Jazz – 10:30 PM ET on ESPNI’ll be asleep by this game, and if I’m not I will watch the beginning of this game and these teams will put me to sleep. But not after I celebrate my favorite NFL player Alfred Morris’ birthday some.(Via)The post With Leather’s Watch This: Any Day Now, Dirk Nowitzki appeared first on With Leather.

Commenting on an incident during the Kings-Mavericks game when DeMarcus Cousins hit him in the groin, O.J. Mayo said, "Man, that guy has mental issues."
The Mavericks have won three straight games, which is all anybody seems to be talking about as they prepare to take on the Celtics on Wednesday. That streak would be a sign of a team on a roll, if not for the four losses in five games that preceded the current streak or the fact that they have the same number of three-game losing streaks — two — as three-game winning streaks...
Mayo's entire career has been turned around by his moving to Dallas
Drafted third overall in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves and traded on draft night to Memphis out of USC, O.J. Mayo's future career in the NBA seemed to be headed in a direction like that of other shooting guards with a similar skill set to his, such as Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, or...
Earlier today we showed you the Houston Rockets stumbling through “Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel”. Now, it appears there’s a battle for tone deaf supremacy between Texas squads, as the Dallas Mavericks have unleashed the above version of “Sleigh Ride”. To say O.J. Mayo isn’t enthused would be the understatement of this holiday season.
Also, if you didn’t think the Mavs...
The Dallas Mavericks have made due without their superstar.
The Toronto Raptors have struggled to remain competitive, and it could get worse because of recent injuries.
Neither team will be at full-strength Friday night in Toronto, though Dallas figures to have the upper hand against a sliding Raptors team which will be very short-handed.
Plus, the Mavericks have won 14 of the...
DeMarcus Cousins is a tool. If you watched the game last night, you saw Cousins and Mayo get into it after Cousins took a shot at Mayo below the belt while scrapping for position near the basket. If you missed it, here’s the video: Punches him pretty squarely with the side of his fist. Mayo [...]

Last night's game against the Mavericks produced a long, double-OT spectacle that also yielded a bunch of funny photos. Feel free to add your own captions in the comments section.
The Nutcracker. It's the Holidays and this is the favorite Christmas-time ballet. Love how Dahntay Jones seems to be dancing with balletic grace and attitude.

You can't go too long without hearing another complaint about Sacramento Kings forward DeMarcus Cousins. The latest one comes courtesy of Dallas Mavericks guard O.J. Mayo who called out Cousins for punching him in the groin during their game on Monday. The incident was caught on tape and confirmed.Just minutes later, the two were called for a double-technical foul after mixing...
Dallas Mavericks guard OJ Mayo was rumored to be a locker room headache when he was with the Grizzlies. So it seems rather fitting that he would have advice for Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins. During Monday night’s match up between the Mavs and Kings, Mayo was called for a technical after confronting Cousins because [...]
Boston Celtics 117, Dallas Mavericks 115 (2 OT) It took two overtimes to do it, but the Celtics finally put away the Mavericks Wednesday night, 117-115, to win their fourth straight home game and improve to 12-9 on the season. Perhaps SB Nation writer Paul Flannery said it best with his tweet in the fourth [...]

COLUMBIA, Md. — Fail to win once. That happens. Fail to win twice. That’s a bit more rare. The Boston Celtics (12-9) weren’t going to squander three chances to beat the Dallas Mavericks (11-11) on Wednesday night, holding on for a 117-115 2OT win in Boston, Mass. It was their third win in extra time [...]
