Found April 10, 2014 on Pass The Pill:
Washington Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza was unable to be in the team photo this year because he is battling the flu. Naturally the team can’t have Ariza around the team with the flu, so they needed a fill-in that could somewhat resemble the 6’8″ wing player. That’s where former Wizards player and current Washington Mystics Player Personnel Manager Awvee Storey comes in. Although Storey is a couple of inches shorter (6’6″), the Wizards were in a pinch and thus gave Ariza’s number 1 jersey to Awvee to use for the team picture. Al Harrington’s trip through hell the past two years to the Playoffs ☆

The fact Al Harrington is playing in the NBA, much less a key contributor to a Playoff-bound Wizards team that has broken out as one of the rising teams in the Eastern Conference. A big reason for Washington’s success is the presence of key veterans like Harrington. Harrington though has his own reasons for feeling like he has accomplished something. He may not even need a Playoff...

For the past month, Glen Rice Jr. played a leading role in helping the Iowa Energy clinch the Central Division title and earn homecourt advantage in the first round of the NBA Developmental League playoffs. Wizards-Bobcats Vinelights: Cook Book and McBob shine; Nene returns; the foul to give (or not to give)

A pleasant stretch of basketball play sandwiched between an awful start and a worse finish and what the hell does it all mean? Postseason implications. Playoff atmospheres.
