Found May 04, 2013 on NFL Draft Zone:

I thought since I am a fantasy football junkie, I would let you all in on my dirty little secrets when it comes to fantasy football.  I have come up with 20 players that I believe could become the steal of the fantasy draft.  I remember last year drafting Alfred Morris in the 18th round.  I was laughed at but looked like a genius when I was in the championship.  So here are a few rookies by position that could really take over your fantasy football leagues. Quarterbacks: E.J. Manuel – Buffalo Bills – Let’s face it E.J. is facing Kevin Kolb and Tarvaris Jackson for a starting spot.  I cannot see how he can lose this race.  If E.J. is healthy, I see him coming in as a starter from week 1 against the Patriots.  E.J. could be the only rookie starting from week 1, and if that is the case, he would be a great QB2 Option. Geno Smith – New York Jets – Well we have heard that the Sanchez Era could be about over in New York.  The Jets have already released their third string quarterback in Tim Tebow.  Could Geno be a starter?  By week 5 I think he could be the guy.  So he could be a guy to keep an eye on. Runningbacks: Le’Veon Bell – Pittsburgh Steelers – While Jonathan Dwyer looked good last year in Pitt, the Steelers don’t really have another back.  Rashard Mendenhall left in the offseason and Bell could be the guy that gets the work load from day one.  Bell could be the biggest steal of this year’s fantasy draft. Eddie Lacy – Green Bay Packers – This guy should be pissed off. If I fell to the bottom of round 2, I would be mad, especially when they said i was the best running back in the draft.  I would go into camp and not one back would come near taking the starting spot from me.  I expect this to happen from Lacy. Montee Ball – Denver Broncos – Ball was a touchdown scoring machine, and while I don’t believe he will get tons of touches early in his career, he could be the change of pace back that comes in and out for McGahee.  Remember they have Ronnie Hillman on their roster too, but for deep leagues he would be a good late round pick up. Wide Receivers: Tavon Austin – St. Louis Rams – Sam Bradford starting clicking really good at the end of the season last year, and let’s face it the Rams defense was already stout.  Austin could be the best pick in the draft.  I love this kid, he is small but he is special.  The Rams have my Offensive Rookie of the Year on their roster. Cordarelle Patterson – Minnesota Vikings – Patterson is a very solid player with the ball in his hands.  The biggest problem is getting the ball in his hands.  I can see Patterson becoming a big play guy.  He could come in right away and make an impact like Denarius Moore did a few years ago with Oakland. Robert Woods – Buffalo Bills – Robert Woods is the number 2 wide receiver in Buffalo. Buffalo let both David Nelson and Donald Jones leave.  That left them with Ruvell Martin, TJ Graham, and Marcus Easley on the roster. They have added some depth with rookies but I just cannot see how the most polished wide receiver in college football will not produce. DeAndre Hopkins – Houston Texans – DeAndre will be opposite of Andre Johnson.  The two will be very tough going into the season.  I like Hopkins, he has great hands and burst.  He could be a guy they target quite a bit. They love to spread the ball in H-Town. Tight Ends : Tyler Eiffert – Cincinnati Bengals – Eiffert has great hands and even though Gresham is there, I don’t think that will stop from Eiffert’s production.  Eiffert has great hands and could be a guy that comes in right away and tears it up. Jay Gruden is an offensive genius, he will find a way to get the Tight End the ball. Zach Ertz – Philadelphia Eagles – Chip Kelly has a new toy.  That is Zach Ertz, and Kelly will find a way to keep both Brent Celek and Zrtz on the field at the same time.  Ertz is a very solid player and could be a guy that ends up with the most targets.  The high powered Eagles offense will find a way to get all their receivers the ball. Travis Kelce – Kansas City – Kelce was a guy that I really liked going into the draft.  He is very solid and reminded me a lot of Rob Gronkowski.  Tight Ends are important and we all know that Andy Reid loves them.  I expect Kelce to beat out Tony Moeaki for the starting spot. Kickers: Dustin Hopkins – Buffalo Bills – The best kicker in the draft goes to a team with a very solid cold weather kicker.  But this is a second year in a row the Buffalo Bills drafted a kicker.  Could their intentions lead to the team replacing the veteran Rian Lindell.  All signs look that way, get ready for an all Florida State Special Teams. Caleb Sturgis – Miami Dolphins – I know the Dolphins have Dan Carpenter, but why would you draft a kicker so high?  They have to be looking to replace their veteran.  Sturgis lacked some consistency this year, but I expect him to come in and compete, and eventually win the starting spot. IDP – Individual Defensive Players: Ezekial Ansah – DE – Detroit Lions – The Lions are hoping Ezekial is the “Ansah” to their pass rush.  I believe he will be a very good player and could easily be the guy that comes in and leads the rookies in Sacks and Quarterback Pressures.  I like Ansah in Detroit.  It makes sense. Arthur Brown – ILB – Baltimore Ravens – How this man lasted as long as he did blows my mind. I guess scouts saw something better than I did, because I thought he was a 2nd round pick for sure.  Arthur Brown will rack up tackles for the Ravens this year. Expect them to move on without Rolando McClain after his latest incident.  Brown could be the Rookie of the Year on defense. Manti Te’o – ILB – San Diego Chargers – Can you remember the last time the Chargers had a good linebacker?  It wasn’t long ago people, they keep good linebackers and in fantasy football they always produce.  Expect Te’o to have a huge rookie campaign.  Manti is my favorite to win Defensive Rookie of the Year. Kiko Alonso – ILB – Buffalo Bills – WHO? I know you are all probably trying to figure it out, but as of right now, the Bills are going into the season with Alonso as one of their starting mike linebackers.  He is very good in coverage and could be a guy that gets a few picks.  He has a very high motor, he could be a steal late in the draft. Jon Cyprien – S – Jacksonville Jaguars – Let’s face it he is the only defender we have heard of in their secondary. I can see teams throwing the ball a lot on the Jags.  I hope I am wrong, but I just don’t see them as a huge competitor this year.  Cyprien will get tons of plays but because they will be on defense a lot. Matt Elam – S – Baltimore Ravens – Can you say Ed Reed/Bob Sanders mixed? Well I will say it for you, this kid is a steal.  If you have to pick individual players, Elam is a guy you want on your team.  He will be in the box as well in the secondary.  Another one of my favorites.  He was a steal at 32.

Montee Ball Fantasy Forecast 2013

Much of the talk leading up to the 2013 NFL Draft surrounded former Alabama standout Eddie Lacy. Since the draft’s conclusion however, Montee Ball has gained a great deal of popularity as arguably the top fantasy rookie prospect heading into the 2013 NFL season. The former Wisconsin star has a lot of mileage, but that didn’t keep the Broncos from talking him with the 58th overall...

Tight end Jacob Tamme is excited by Wes Welker and the Broncos offense: 'Wes is awesome'

Denver Broncos tight end Jacob Tamme is excited about the arrival of receiver Wes Welker and the Broncos offense going into the second year under Peyton Manning. Any tight end would be as Welker takes the heat off the position playing from the slot. Welker's presence prevents any double teams in the middle of the field on Tamme, giving him more room to work. Couple that with...

Denver Broncos Select RB Montee Ball in 2013 NFL Draft

2.26 Denver Broncos Montee Ball, RB, Wisconsin (5-10, 214) The Denver Broncos selected standout Wisconsin running back Montee Ball in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft. He was one of the most productive runners in NCAA history and came away number one in total touchdowns. The problem in Denver the past couple of seasons has been consistency at the RB position. It seems like...

Tom Brady celebrates big win at the Derby?

So, apparently Tom Brady and co. have some sort of connection to the owners of Orb, who won the Kentucky Derby yesterday. You can see Brady and his crew of former Patriots: Dan Koppen, Tedy Bruschi and Wes Welker go nuts over the win with the owners. Apparently Brady didn't want to go down to the winner's circle though, implying he probably didn't have much invested...

T.J. Moe Shrugs Off Comparisons to Wes Welker, Says He’s Just Trying to Make Patriots Roster

FOXBORO, Mass. — The minute T.J. Moe stepped on the field at Gillette Stadium to speak with the media, he was met with a question about Wes Welker. The comparisons between the two players are obvious. Both went undrafted, both use short-area quickness and agility more than straight-line speed to get separation, both are under 6-foot (despite Moe’s generous listing) and both excel...

Miller has founded Miller Farms, a chicken company located...
