For everyone who’s ever witnessed C.J. Spiller run on grass with shoulder pads on his upper forelimbs, cleats on his feet, and a football tucked tightly within his forearm, bicep, and chest, that first carry is a real memory.
Chances are it was a successful attempt, being that nearly every time he touches the football something miraculous happens. Either he ran over someone, around them, or, impossibly, through them. He probably didn’t lose any yardage that first time you saw him either, unless on that particular play Spiller’s offensive line decided to play dead.
He’s always been special, with a perfect skill-set to play the position.
For the duration of his high school career, Spiller averaged 10.1 yards per carry, a stat that preternaturally declared his future as one of football’s least fair weapons.
Last year, at the age of 25, in his third year of NFL action, Spiller finally let the dominant player his high school career foreshadowed see light, insertin...

E.J. Manuel wasn’t perfect, but it was a start of something special for the Buffalo Bills for years to come. At least that’s the positive most of us are forced to spin the Bills loss to the Patriots to start the new season.
For most Bills fans, we’ve had enough moral victories. The Patriots were lucky to leave western New York with a win and we know it.
It wasn’t the normal...
Bills head coach Doug Marrone told reporters on Monday that wide receiver Marquise Goodwin will be out for some time with a fractured hand.

Buffalo halfback Fred Jackson totaled 108 yards from scrimmage Sunday in a loss to New England.Fantasy Spin:He led the Bills with 67 yards rushing on 13 carries. Jackson was expected to play a smaller role in Buffalo's offense after the emergence of C.J. Spiller at the end of last season but if he keeps this up, the Bills' rushing distribution could be closer to a 50/50 split...
The Buffalo Bills have promoted cornerback Johnny Adams from the practice squad to the active roster.
Adams, a rookie free agent out of Michigan State, joined the Bills' practice squad on Sept. 2. He was released by the Houston Texans in late July and spent training camp with the Indianapolis Colts.
Buffalo made the move after second-year cornerback Ron Brooks had foot surgery...
Wow, what an action packed opening weekend of football! So action packed that I need time to just catch my breath. A slue of fans for the Buffalo Bills arrived to Sunday’s game wearing orange jumpsuits with “Hernandez 81″ on them.
Even as Aaron Hernandez is no longer on the roster of the New England Patriots there seems to be no escaping his presence.

Rookie quarterback EJ Manuel and the new-look Buffalo Bills opened the season with a familiar lament.
No matter how many times the Bills retool their roster, they almost always find a way to lose to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
''Obviously, Tom Brady is a great quarterback and is going to go into the Hall of Fame,'' Manuel said. ''But at the end...
Buffalo Bills fans are pretty original how they razz the opposition. You had the fans dressed in prison jumpsuits that said “Hernandez 81″ on the back. Then you have this sign that said “Tom Brady Sits When He Pees”.
Karma is a b*tch…..
All Tom Brady did was get off the toilet bowl and beat the Bills yet again.

New England came from behind to defeat the Buffalo Bills 23-21. Here are 5 reasons why it was possible.
8 a.m. ET: Football is officially back.
All that training camp and preseason stuff was fun for a while, but now, football is really, truly, seriously back. The Patriots take on the Bills in just five hours and it’s perfectly normal if you were having trouble sleeping last night.
All the questions that faced the Patriots ever since they fell to the Ravens in the AFC Championship...
So close, yet so far... The Buffalo Bills were minutes away from a week 1 victory and then Brady and the Pats became Brady and the Pats and the Bills became the Bills. For what it’s worth, neither team played good football. Turnovers and penalties were the theme of the day for the Bills, who showed why being good and being young in the NFL are not as harmonious of a duo as last...
BY DAN BEGNOCHEStevie Johnson talked a big game going into the Buffalo Bills’ home opener against the New England Patriots. Seems like the big talk doesn’t end, even when he’s trying to be humble.A day after storming out of the locker room and refusing to speak to reporters following the last second loss, Johnson explained his actions in an impromptu press conference Monday...
