Tom Brady's receiving targets keep taking hits. First, Wes Welker leaves for Denver. Next, Rob Gronkowski has an infection in his broken forearm and could potentially miss the beginning of the season. Now, Aaron Hernandez is having surgery and will miss some off-season activities.
Tight end Aaron Hernandez underwent shoulder surgery earlier this offseason and likely will miss OTAs and minicamp this spring, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday morning.
Citing two sources, Rapoport said Hernandez will likely be ready by training camp. It is unclear when the injury occurred.
At least the Patriot signed Michael Hoomanawanui yesterday. I would rather have all these injuries and surgeries be happening now than in the season, so there's that.
Hernandez recently stated that he wanted to play all 16 games, if having this surgery helps accomplish that, I guess I'm ok with it.

Ian Rapoport reported on his twitter, that Aaron Hernandez underwent shoulder surgery sometime during the offseason. Not much else is known at this time but the fact that someone even found this out is a miracle in itself. The Patriots are one of the tightest lipped organizations in the league and do well to keep things in-house.
For fantasy, this means that two of the top 10 options...
Normally it is the other Pats tight end we are talking about, but Hernandez, who I believe is as talented as GRONK, just can’t stay healthy either.
ESPN is reporting Hernandez had shoulder surgery this off-season and won’t be available for OTAs and minicamp, but the Patriots do expect him to be ready to go by Training Camp.
New England Patriots fans may be concerned about the loss of Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd, Danny Woodhead, and their 232 receptions in 2012, but Greg Bedard of The Boston Globe reports their is no need to worry. Replaced by

Every great NFL quarterback sees his career come to an eventual end, one has to wonder if the window is closing on New England Patriots QB Tom Brady. Brady had another stellar season in 2012 throwing 34 touchdowns and just 8 interceptions and nearly 5,000 yards but the 2013 version of the Patriots is going to look much different and Brady isn’t getting any younger.
Brady, who turns...

Over the weekend, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was seen on camera at Yankee Stadium watching the Yankees and Orioles. So the question becomes - who was he rooting for?
As the ball leaves the bat of Nick Markakis, is Brady yelling "OH NO!" in support of his brother-in-law Kevin Youkilis who of course now plays for the Yankees, or "GO GO!"...
Oh no, indeed. It looks like the Patriots superstar is speaking for the entire Evil Empire with his reaction to an Orioles home run.
Tom Brady grew up and spent most of his young life in San Mateo, California, but he now recognizes a new city as his hometown. Boston.
Brady has spent all 14 NFL seasons as quarterback of the New England Patriots and he’s lived in the city of Boston for much of that time. And after the tragic events that took place at Monday’s Boston Marathon, Brady took to Facebook to express...
It’s not a secret that Tom Brady is a fan of the New York Yankees, much to the dismay of Massholes everywhere. He’s been photographed wearing Yankees stuff on numerous occasions. He crushes hard on Derek Jeter. Hell, I’m surprised he hasn’t named one of his kids Bomber. Either way, Dreamboat caught a game at Yankee Stadium over the weekend, where he was shown getting all...
