Adrian Wilson has been one of the stars of the Arizona Cardinals secondary, but now it seems his time has come to an end in the south west. With safety being a key need for the Patriots in this off-season, obviously this news widens the eyes of Patriots fans.
You can add Wilson to the growing list of veteran safety targets that includes names such as Ed Reed and Charles Woodson. A boost at that position could help bolster a unit that's been one of the poorest in the league for at least three years now.
In some ways, Wilson might fit more than safety Ed Reed in New England. Wilson plays the strong safety position, which would better compliment Devin McCourty who took over as a free safety this past season (Ed Reed also plays free safety).
Of course, Wilson's no Ed Reed, and he's been released for a reason. His play started to decline after 12 year...
