It looks like Amendola should be ready for the Pats’ season opener. I don’t think he’ll play in this week’s preseason finale.

FOXBORO, Mass. — Some big names were back on the Gillette Stadium practice fields Monday afternoon in the Patriots’ first session since Thursday night’s preseason game against the Lions.
Danny Amendola was back on the field after missing two practices and the game with an undisclosed injury. Ras-I Dowling and Jermaine Cunningham were back out there in full pads, as well.
According to Albert Breer of the NFL Network, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is expected back by late September.
Anyway, the timeframe for Gronk's return has been, as we said last week, right around late September. Makes the PUP call a tough one.
