After another disappointing end to the Bengals’ season, many fans are wondering if Andy Dalton is the long term answer. In his third year, Dalton had career bests in nearly every category besides interceptions. He tossed a career high 20 picks this year. Many Bengal fans, including me, think he may have maxed out his potential. When asked, Marvin Lewis responded by saying this. “He’s won big games for us and he’ll continue to win big games. We ask a lot out of him, there’s no doubt about it,” Lewis said, via the team’s official website. “He just finished his third season of doing it. I believe in his abilities, I believe in his makeup, I believe in his maturity…. He had another very good season. He’s progressed well. We need to continue to do things to make his job just easier and easier to do.” Cincy has a new OC, Hue Jackson. He’s gonna run the ball a ton, and Gio Bernard says the playbook will be “ Super crazy”, and “fun”. This should take much of the pressure off Andy, and

What the Bengals need heading into the Scouting Combine

Michael Johnson has been a big contributor on defense. Despite losing in the first round of the playoffs this past season, the Cincinnati Bengals have one of the best rosters in the league. They have depth at almost every position and have a great core of young talent on offense like Giovani Bernard, AJ Green, Marvin Jones, and many others. However, there are still some holes that...

Power Rankings: Mike Brown of the Bengals named one of worst owners in the NFL

In any business, success or failure tends to trickle down from the top. Very rarely does having someone incompetent in the ultimate position of power not lead to disastrous results throughout the organization. In my opinion the Cincinnati Bengals should loom to the draft if they want to add another weapon to their receiving core. There are always sleepers late in the draft that usually surpass the expectations. But if the Bengals feel they need someone with a...

Contemplating competition for Andy Dalton

In his “10 players to watch at the 2014 NFL Combine” for the National Football Post, Dave Miller compares former Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron to Andy Dalton, saying that he has a chance to have a beginning of a career similar to the Bengals quarterback.
