It seems that some reporters might have jumped the gun on an agreement between the Arizona Cardinals and Andy Reid. Or the team isn’t ready to admit to such a deal exists. Either way, the Cardinals’ Vice President of Media Relations had a clever response to the reported Reid deal. Mark Dalton tweeted, “I’m 99% sure that reports of a deal being 95% done are 100% incorrect #azcards.” Well, then. The Cardinals met with defensive coordinator Ray Horton on Tuesday, according to Adam Schefter — and while we’re not saying that’s just to fulfill the Rooney Rule, if rumors are true that the Cardinals are all in on Reid, it certainly looks like it. Arizona will meet with Reid on Wednesday, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. Reid’s main pitch to the Cardinals will be that he can fix quarterback Kevin Kolb, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
