The term Any Given Sunday is derived from the idea that any team in the league can beat another at any given time.   Despite some of the more marquee NFL teams having byes in Week 7, there are some interesting matchups in a week that can be themed “out with the old and in with the new” as three teams will start new quarterbacks, teams that have been disappointments are now surprises, and teams that once had high hopes are now in despair.  Keeping in the belief of Any Given Sunday and the trend of “out with the old, in with the new” here are three upset picks and predictions for Week 7. (3-3) Atlanta Falcons at (5-1) Detroit Lions The Falcons travel to Ford Field to face the Lions on Sunday.  Atlanta is coming off a solid win against the Carolina Panthers and the Lions suffered a loss at home to a tough 49ers team last week.  It was Detroit’s first defeat in their last 13 games dating back to 2010 to include this year’s preseason.   Much like the 49ers, Atlanta has a physical football team.  Michael Turner should have a big game against the Lions defense who despite the hype of [...]
