The offensive line of the Arizona Cardinals is becoming a huge issue.

Quarterback Kevin Kolb was sacked nine times, including three by Robert Quinn, as the St. Louis Rams handed the Cardinals their first loss of the season, 17-3 last night in St. Louis. Arizona is now 4-1.

Kolb has now been sacked 17 times in his last two games. Against St. Louis, Kolb threw for 289 yards but was under duress all game long. The Rams (3-2) parlayed two touchdown passes from Sam Bradford to surpass their win total of last season.

Bradford's tossed a seven-yard scoring strike to Lance Kendricks early in the first quarter to give the Rams an early 7-0 lead. He later fired a 51-touchdowns pass to Chris Givens early in the fourth quarter to complete the scoring.

Steven Jackson led St. Louis with 76 yards rushing.

Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald had eight receptions for 92 yards to pace the Red Birds. It marked the 122nd consecutive game in which he had a catch, a new franchise record.

Once again, Arizona had trouble establishing a running game. Ryan Williams was held to just 33 yards on the ground on 14 carries.

The Cardinals' defense, which entered the contest with 16 sacks, sacked Bradford just once but held him to 141 passing yards on seven of 21 passing. Cornerback Patrick Peterson registered an interception.

''I didn't like anything,'' coach Ken Whisenhunt told R.P. Fallstrom of the Associated Press after the game.

The Cardinals will try and rebound a week from Sunday when they face the Buffalo Bills in Glendale.
