The Chicago Bears are dealing with wide receiver issues. But now their recieving corps is getting thinner. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Bears are waiving Dazz Newsome.
The Chicago Bears drafted Newsome 221st overall, in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played in three games for the Bears in 2021.
Newsome returned six punts for 75 yards in his three starts and dealt with injuries among other adversity.
He also caught two of his five targets for 23 yards but did not find the endzone.
Dazz Newsome became somewhat of a fan favorite in Chicago. He showed flashes of greatness and many thought he would be a key part in the Bears’ offense and special teams going forward.
