The Bengals are missing three key players for their game on Sunday against the intrastate rival Cleveland Browns. Middle linebacker Rey Maualuga, defensive back Chris Crocker and right guard Kevin Zeitler are inactive. Crocker missed practice last week with a hamstring injury, and Zeitler was sidelined by an injured foot. Maualuga missed his third straight game with an injured left knee. Linebacker James Harrison had been listed as questionable with a calf injury, but was active for the game. The Browns were coming off a bye week that gave them time to heal. Right guard Jason Pinkston had been listed as questionable with an ankle injury, but was active. There were no changes in Cleveland's starting lineups. --- AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org

Is Andy Dalton the answer for the Cincinnati Bengals?

This question has been bounced around the Bengals’ third-year quarterback like a Gio Bernard covered in Crisco, finding a hole in the backfield – you just can’t stop it. After being called an “elite quarterback” by putting up MVP-like numbers to give him the AFC Player of the Month honors in October, Dalton has been dealing with a polarizing affect that is making him off...

Cincinnati Bengals’ defense dominates Cleveland Browns in 41-20 win.

The Cincinnati Bengals scoffed at the Cleveland Browns’ talk of a new favorite for the AFC North crown with an all-around performance in a 41-20 win at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday. This game had the makings of a disaster for Bengals’ quarterback Andy Dalton who threw two consecutive interceptions to Joe Haden, one a 29-yard touchdown to give the Browns an early 13-0 lead in...

Bengals' special teams key part of surge

Linebacker James Harrison was asked if he'd ever had a moment like the one safety Tony Dye was celebrating. ''Who?'' Harrison said. A reporter pointed across the locker room to a young player getting interviewed. ''No. 44?'' Harrison said. Yeah, that guy. The one that returned a blocked punt for a touchdown in his first game in the NFL, getting...

WATCH: Vontaze Burfict gets pat on behind from law enforcement

After scooping up a Browns fumble and taking it back 13 yards for a touchdown, the Bengals linebacker was congratulated by an armed officer with a good, old fashioned pat on the rear. While his form leaves something to be desired, you have to admire an otherwise brazen attempt to physically engage with a guy who’s spent roughly a security guard’s salary on personal fouls this...

Bengals score 31 in 2nd quarter of win

No overtime this time. The Cincinnati Bengals brushed aside their intrastate rival and strengthened their hold on the AFC North with one record-setting quarter. Essentially, it was over by halftime. And now the Bengals have a chance to make quick work of the rest of the division, too. Andy Dalton threw two touchdown passes and Cincinnati returned a blocked punt and a fumble for...

Bengals Linebacker Vontaze Burfict Gets a Little Love From the Police

Typically when we talk about an NFL player getting a 'little love' from the authorities its because he has been arrested on some kind of charge and is being cuffed--not this time. This time the love tap came because Burfict had just take a fumble 13-yards to the end zone to put the Bengals up 28-13 over a feisty Cleveland Browns team.@SBNationGIF/Twitter Loading...

One miserable quarter followed by a record-setting one. The Bengals pulled off one of those comebacks that they might look back upon as a turning point in their season. Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals: 2013 Week 11 NFL Pick

Cleveland Browns (4-5) at Cincinnati Bengals (6-4) The Bengals were riding high off of a 49-9 win over the Jets a couple of weeks ago, but after back-to-back road overtime losses, they have been knocked back down to Earth and people have given them the inconsistent label. I don’t think it’s so much inconsistency as home/road disparity. On the road, they lost in Chicago, Cleveland...

Bengals' big second quarter downs Browns, 41-20

In what can be a theme of Bengals football over the years, not even decisive victories are routine. Such was the case with Sunday’s 41-20 victory over the Browns at Paul Brown Stadium. With forecasts before the game predicting inclement weather, not many figured that this would be an exhibition of offensive firepower. Neither quarterback was effective but Andy Dalton was slightly...
