Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots dismantled Rex Ryan’s New York Jets 37-16 on Sunday Night Football, racking up 389 yards of offense against the Jets vaunted defense and grabbing first overall in the AFC East. Savoring the victory over their divisional foes, coach Belichick and his son Stephen shared a rather touching moment as the two walked off the MetLife Stadium field.  And by touching I mean it was Bill channeling his inner Rex Ryan and dropping quite possibly the quote of the year. With his arm draped over son Stephen’s shoulder, Belichick was heard to utter, “Thirty-seven points on the best defense in the league, suck my d—!” Sure Belichick comes off as one of the most boring personalities in all of sports, but that quote is just magical, and totally out of character with the normally stoic Pats coach.  Must be something in that New Jersey water. Once again, Patriots rise off the canvas

Bill Belichick may not be the most engaging or forthcoming guy, but those who cover the New England Patriots on a regular basis know exactly what they're going to get from the famously taciturn head coach every week.

Active Guyton didn't play Sunday night

By Tim BrittonFOXBORO, Mass. -- Linebacker Gary Guyton didn't see the field on Sunday night, but that wasn't because of an injury. Guyton, who was limited in practice all last week and questionable for the game with a shoulder injury, was active. But he didn't play, with Jeff Tarpinian and Tracy White getting time at outside linebacker instead. Belichick didn't...

Edelman's role with Pats' defense recalls Troy Brown's glory

Rex Ryan to Jets: “We want a home playoff game”

In 2009 and 2010, the Jets had to navigate the road to the Super Bowl the hard way, as wild cards forced to win away from home. Each year, the Jets won two playoff games on the road, with their Super Bowl quests derailed in Indianapolis and Pittsburgh, respectively. This year, the Jets have a…

Jets coach Rex Ryan issues playoff injury report, calls his team “doubtful”

Which New York Jet Do Patriots Fans Hate Most?

The Patriots and Jets will renew their rivalry Sunday night and this game promises to be filled with as much smack talk and emotion as the ones before.
