Former Colts general manager Bill Polian told Michelle Steele on ESPN’s SportsCenter that he’s not speaking to Colts owner Jim irsay after his comments this week in which he took a shot at Polian and Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. Steele: Have you spoken to Mr. Irsay? Polian: I have not. Steele: Do you plan to? Polian: No. Polian was then asked to expand on his thoughts regarding Irsay’s comments. “My Lord, we won more games for 10 years than any team in the history of the league,” Polian said via ProFootballTalk.com. “Eleven playoff appearances in 13 years so, you know, that’s the definition of winning.” Polian even said that Manning “won’t like the pregame ceremony, whatever it may be”  that Irsay has planned for his return to Indy because he doesn’t like anything that can distract him. Steele then said she believed the break up between the Colts and Manning was “amicable,” but Polian disagreed. “He wanted to stay very badly right up until the end,” Polian said of Manning. “They cut him.” Polian made it clear he’s rooting for the Broncos on Sunday. “My heart would be with the Broncos all the way,” Polian said.   Need NFL Tickets? Peyton won't answer Irsay questions

Peyton Manning may or may not have reason to be upset with the Colts, depending how he interprets team owner Jim Irsay's recent comments . Either way, the current Broncos quarterback doesn't want to talk about. As the Colts prepare to welcome Manning back to Indianapolis for the first time since he left the franchise last offseason, Irsay has spent some time chatting about...

Bill Polian Takes Veiled Shot at Patriots, Says Peyton Manning Won His Super Bowl ‘the Right Way, Honestly’

Even while defending Peyton Manning, former Colts general manager Bill Polian couldn’t resist an opportunity to slight the Patriots. On Wednesday, Polian weighed in the controversy — created by Colts owner Jim Irsay‘s need to hear himself talk — regarding Manning’s exit from Indianapolis. Irsay had referenced the quarterback’s lone Super Bowl ring, compared to Tom Brady‘s...

Video: Peyton Manning and Jim Irsay share awkward hug

Jim Irsay rufled some feathers this week when talking about Peyton Manning. Maybe Irsay is just upset over this awkward hug with Manning.

Jim Irsay Owes Peyton Manning Some Respect!

“The Return of Peyton Manning to Indianapolis” story that will eat up the media coverage until the game on Sunday Night Football has taken a sour, snippy, soap-opera turn and before it gets better, Jim Irsay has to inset his foot into his mouth. It’s on. It’s sooooooo on now! We still have four days until Peyton Manning will return to his original NFL home as a horse of a...

Colts' new "model" still has flaws

Colts owner Jim Irsay’s statements about the Colts of the past and the new model the team has pursued have drawn the ire of many, including Peyton Manning’s current head coach John Fox and former Colts general manager Bill Polian. The media hype surrounding some relatively mundane quotes has spoiled an otherwise exciting homecoming that will see Peyton Manning, the past, battle...

Bill Polian Says Peyton Manning Didn’t Want to Leave Colts, Was ‘Cut’ in Favor of Andrew Luck (Video)

Peyton Manning‘s divorce from the Indianapolis Colts seemed like one of the most mutual and cordial splits in sports history. That spotless surface might not have been the whole story, though. Manning’s visit to Indianapolis was always going to be the story of the NFL in Week 7, as it’s the first time the Colts’ legend will return to the place where he made so many lasting...

Links of the Day 10/20/13

It’s football Sunday! Yahoo! Jim Irsay and former Colts GM Bill Polian have been squabbling and it’s the dumbest thing ever. There are a bunch of Twins prospects in the Arizona Fall League. Juice This: Mark Sanchez, Jay-Z, and Jim Irsay

I write this because I love the thrill of the clash of the titans. No, not the movie. Or the sequel. Besides, the kraken's been released so screw off, Liam Neeson. It's the stuff of titans, like this weekend, Philly versus Dallas. No, uh, real Titans - Tennessee versus San Francisco. No, uh, real titans: Irsay versus Manning. Ego versus Bronco. Who wins? Easy. We...

Dear Colts Nation, Everybody…calm down!

We are all Super Fans in Colts Nation. Dear Colts Nation, I’ve seen many things this week and feel a sense of duty to address some of them. There’s a whole lot of judging going on right now, targeted at the Colts, the owner, the fans, our former quarterback, our current quarterback, and this weekend’s Sunday Night Football game. The first thing I want to say is, everybody...
