Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone is still getting acclimated with his new team. The Bills have yet to begin any organized offseason workouts, so Marrone probably hasn’t had a chance to speak with all of his players in person. In fact, he may not even know all of their names. Marrone was recently discussing his team’s quarterback situation with’s Don Banks when the subject of depth came up. The Bills currently have Tarvaris Jackson penciled in as their starting quarterback with former Richmond quarterback Aaron Corp listed as the backup by default. According to Banks, Marrone referred to Corp as “Andy Corp.” Give the man a break. It could have easily been a slip of the tongue. Or, as Around the League pointed out, it’s possible Marrone is simply unfamiliar with Corp like the rest of us. Corp was a highly-touted prospect out of high school but lost out to Matt Barkley for the starting position at USC. He was signed as an undrafted free agent last season but lasted just a f...

What should the Bills do with the 8th pick in the NFL Draft?

In light of the recent events that have transpired at One Bills Drive for the Buffalo Bills, it’s time to discuss the most glaring need on their roster; quarterback. The Bills released veteran signal caller Ryan Fitzpatrick last week, who went on to sign a two-year deal with the Tennessee Titans, joining former teammates Andy Levitre and George Wilson. The release of Fitzpatrick...

Fred Jackson: New crown rule ‘changes the game’

Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson makes his living between the tackles, usually driving through, not around, would-be tacklers. Now, he will likely have to adjust his approach, and he’s not happy about it.The NFL voted in favor of the “crown rule” Wednesday, which bars ball carriers from using the crowns of their helmets as the point of open-field contact. Jackson was...

Bills holding private workout for FSU's EJ Manuel

The Buffalo Bills, after departing with QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, have Tavaris Jackson atop their QB list without a notable backup, so much so that head coach Doug Marrone called him 'Andy' Corp instead of Aaron Corp. So with that being said, the Bills are clearly in the market for a viable backup, or perhaps even a starter, and they may strike gold in next month's draft...

Buffalo brings in West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith for private workout

The Buffalo Bill is starting their search for the quarterback of the future, and Geno Smith is a good start. Smith is a fast riser on draft boards and the Bills want to kick the tires to see if he could be the answer to their signal calling woes. According to the Bill’s website, the Bills will have a private workout with the top quarterback prospect in the 2013 NFL Draft. Darin...

Getting over the Bills cheating ways

I'm sure at one time or another we have heard a story from either our best friend, a family member, or even an office worker talk about being cheated on. It isn't a fun topic. Not for the listener or the person who was cheated on. When a relationship of love is developed, a bond of trust is formed. You don't need a ring to know there is an unspoken agreement that...

Q&A about Geno Smith

Yeah, I know we are a bit away from the Draft, but since the Bills free agency is about as boring as watching color bars on TV, why not get into some of the hoopla known as the NFL Draft. What I plan on doing is having the boys over at Optimum Scouting to give us the lowdown on some NFL prospects. Today, Eric Galko is going to fill us in on Geno Smith. Now, these guys know their...
