It's a given Arizona Cardinals rookie safety Tyrann Mathieu the once embattled former LSU and St. Augustine standout will have enormous support Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome when he returns home to take on the New Orleans Saints. But it's unlikely Mathieu will have a bigger supporter in the building than Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson -- his friend former LSU teammate and current teammate big brother mentor and otherwise lifeline. "We're practically brothers" Peterson said. "I feel that I'm the big brother role model type for him. I'm definitely not taking that duty lightly." Supporting and believing in Mathieu has come natural for Peterson who first took the eager freshman who would later become known as the "Honey Badger" under his wing in Peterson's junior year at LSU. No one has been prouder of the strides Mathieu has made on and off the field in relatively short amount of time than Peterson. He has watched...

FINAL: Arizon Cardinals 25 – Lions 21: Recap, reaction and analysis

It wasn’t the prettiest of wins, but in a league that doesn’t keep track of how you win, the Arizona Cardinals’ first of 2013 was as sweet as any. A late touchdown run by Rashard Mendenhall gave them the lead, and the defense held on late as the Cards defeated the Lions 25-21, bringing them to 1-1 on the season, and giving head coach Bruce Arians his first win as a non-interim...

Steve Smith on Kerry Rhodes: ‘We ain’t in the same circles’

Former Arizona Cardinals safety Kerry Rhodes is currently a free agent. He’s only 31 years old and was once considered an above-average defensive back, so the fact that he has been unable to find work has left some people surprised. Ndamukong Suh says he’s a bee that won’t be deterred from honey hole by gnats?

Detroit Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh delivered an absolutely bizarre quote on Wednesday about what he perceived as low blocks directed at his knees by Arizona Cardinals guard Paul Fanaika during last Sunday’s loss down in the desert. Somehow, Suh, who it should be noted is in a way complaining about cheap shots just one […]The post Ndamukong Suh says he’s a bee that...

Arizona Cardinals: 2013 Week 3 NFL Power Rankings (#23)

Last week: 23 The Cardinals showed last week, and week 1 for that matter, that they’re going to be a competitive team in a very tough NFC. Their defense hasn’t been nearly as good as it was last year, thanks to losses in the secondary and the suspension of Daryl Washington, but Washington will be back in 2 weeks. Offensively, they still aren’t pass blocking well, but Carson...
