Favre also seems to like Panthers’ quarterback Cam Newton. “That dude is good,” said Favre, referring to Newton.

Favre on bounties: “I really don’t care”

One thing we know about Brett Favre is that he wasn’t like most quarterbacks. He actually encouraged physical play, and took a beating throughout his career, and played through the pain over 19 years in the NFL. Favre would do whatever he could to win a football game, regardless of what the other team was [...]

Brett Favre, best Packer ever?

There will be a day, very soon, when Favre comes out this tunnel again. He will be cheered, he will get his jersey retired, he will cry and I do believe that Packer Nation will open their arms to the old gunslinger.     Ron Wolf states that Brett Favre is the “best Packer ever”. Ahhhhhh, Brett Favre. Even today, TV ratings, ESPN, sports blogs, etc. light up when news about...

Minnesota fans may be having a tough time letting go of the fact the New Orleans Saints' win against the Vikings in the NFC Championship Game two-plus years ago was bounty-enhanced, but Brett Favre is not. Brett Favre: I Don’t Care If Saints Put Bounty On Me

Brett Favre was abused a lot during the NFC Championship game a few years ago, when the Minnesota Vikings quarterback kept getting hit hard on almost every play against the New Orleans Saints. It’s pretty well-known now that the Saints tried placing a bounty on him. Favre said he doesn’t mind. Really, he doesn’t care that they tried to injure him. “My feeling, and I mean...

Robert Griffin III to be Played by Andre 3000

When they make the Robert Griffin III life movie, it is certain that he will be played by Andre Benjamin, who is now most known for his Schick commercial.  The resemblance is remarkable and the fact that they both can be called 3G solidifies the notion.  Coffee Black will become QB Red. I just coined the nickname 3G…..twice.

Robert Griffin III’s Fantasy Value 2012

Rookie quarterbacks aren’t supposed to succeed their first year in the NFL. There’s a common belief that the NFL game is too fast, the playbook is too complex and the learning curve is too steep. While that may be true in most cases, there are exceptions. This year, that exception will be Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III.Griffin III will be the Redskins starting...

Former NFL QB Brett Favre Would Take Redskins QB Robert Griffin III Over Andrew Luck

If Brett Favre was an NFL general manager, Robert Griffin III and not Andrew Luck, would be his choice between the two rookie quarterbacks to build a franchise around. "Griffin, he's smaller, but if I was starting a team, I'd probably of went with RG3 just because, if they can't protect you, you got to protect yourself," Favre told NFL Network in an interview...

Favre: I Would Have Taken Griffin III over Luck

For one reason or another, some people actually think there should have been a debate over who to take number one overall. In April, the Indianapolis Colts made Stanford Quarterback Andrew Luck the number one overall pick. The Washington Redskins went on to pay a king’s ransom to move up from the sixth pick to the second pick in order to take Robert Griffin III. Personally, I think...

Morning Huddle - stadium trouble in Santa Clara

I'm sure a reliable electric system is in the works for the 49ers' new stadium. Hopefully that's not what the county is pulling $30 million from. Mike Rosenberg of the San Jose Mercury News reports that Santa Clara County, in an unexpected move, has pulled $30 million in funding for the 49ers' new stadium. There's a whole number of issues and problems that...
