AP Photo Browns wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi left last week’s preseason game after reportedly suffering a concussion.  He later went on Twitter and claimed that he was fine and didn’t suffer a concussion. Browns head coach Pat Shurmur wasn’t very happy that he went on Twitter and discussed his injury. Massaquoi explained on Tuesday that Shurmur is too old to understand Twitter. AP Photo “Tweeting is a new-age thing,” Massaquoi. “Pat’s a little older, so he doesn’t really understand it. But we’re gonna keep certain things in house as far as Twitter goes. We’re not gonna give any game plans or anything like that or give too many updates which may hinder something that we’re trying to do. “But Twitter’s fun. Hopefully. I can get Pat to get [an account].” You have to love it when a player doesn’t show any respect for his coach by calling him old, wow.

Trevin Wade to start for Browns vs. Packers

I would assume this has everything to do with the injury to Dimitri Patterson, but Browns’ rookie Trevin Wade indicated on Twitter that tonight will be his first NFL start. First NFL start today against one of the best NFL quarterback in the game!!!Browns vs Packers!#ThankYouLord — Trevin Wade (@TwoStarWade) August 16, 2012   Who knows what this actually means? Is Wade starting...

Never forget Josh Cribbs’ difficult NFL path

Admittedly, Josh Cribbs has been a bit schizophrenic in public lately. Last year he talked about needing to get back to his special teams roots. Since then it’s been a bit frantic trying to figure out whether Josh Cribbs wants to play receiver or if the team wants him to play there either. All the while, Josh Cribbs seemed to be saying that he might just speak up later this year...

Some Fans Say Colt McCoy Still Cleveland’s Best Quarterback Why Can’t Shurmur See That?

Some of the fans in Cleveland are saying Colt McCoy is still the better quarterback in Cleveland. Pat Shurmur sure can’t see that. For some reason Shurmur’s mind was made up to not give McCoy a fair shot at becoming the Browns starter in 2012. Why is Shurmur going through camp with blinders on? Fans think McCoy would do anything to get the Cleveland Browns a win, he runs when...

Weeden anxious for another crack at the field

BEREA, Ohio Brandon Weeden is anxious to get back on the field after a less than stellar opening performance against the Lions. He was 3-of-9 for 62 yards and turned the ball over twice. His rating was a paltry 19. Its been a quick turnaround, but its been good, Weeden said. Im excited to get back out there and correct the mistakes from last week and just get back out and (play)...

Weeden: My Mistakes are Fixable

The mistakes I made were so small that they’re easy fixes. I work on them every day after practice now. The one, the fumble, when I was trying to dump it down to Jordan [Cameron], regardless of if it was or fumble or if it wasn’t a fumble, I’ve got to get that ball out quicker just knowing where we were on the field, knowing how good Phil [Dawson] is. That’s three points...

Cleveland Browns Face Different Struggles In 2012 Training Camp

After one preseason game, the Browns now know what kinds of things they need to work on as the regular season approaches. What they also now know is, some things may be out of their control to work on. Take, for instance, the curious case of Mohammad Massoquoi. Massoquoi took one hit in last Friday’s game, and promptly was removed from the game for precautionary reasons related...

Jim Donovan Not Able to do Broadcast; Catalon to Substitute

According to his twitter-feed, New Albany sports anchor Andrew Catalon will be stepping in for Jim Donovan during tonight’s Browns vs Packers preseason game- Jim Donovan is a little under the weather, so I will be pinch-hitting on WKYC tonight for Browns-Packers at Lambeau. Get well soon, Jim. — Andrew Catalon (@AndrewCatalon) August 16, 2012   We do not know anything about...

The Browns Will Be On Their Way To Green Bay It’s Going To Take More than Positive Energy To Get Weeden A Win

The Cleveland Browns and their old starting rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden will be on their way to Green Bay to do battle with the Packers. This is the second meaning-less preseason game of the young season in the old rookie quarterbacks NFL career. Some fans think staying positive will be enough to get Weeden and his Browns on the right track. I say, it is going to take a lot...

Steelers Fan Kurt Takes NFL Tramp Stamping To Next Level

Smell the air. Tilt your head back, stick your nose in the air & sniff. Take a deep breath. It’s that beautiful smell of Week 2 of the NFL preseason. Tonight’s games: Cincinnati at Atlanta, 8 p.m.; Cleveland at Green Bay, 8 p.m. Bud Shaw, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, is already trying to tell Browns’ fans that Brandon Weeden might not be their savior. Ouch. Remember...

Next Up For The Green Bay Packers & Aaron Rodgers Are The Cleveland Browns

The Green Bay Packers will be taking on the Cleveland Browns in preseason game number 2 tomorrow night. Rodgers will be looking to improve the performance he had in his first appearance of the 2012 season. The Packers will be facing a relatively you Browns defense that is full of injuries. One key to the Packers coming out of this game much improved will be the Packers ability to...

Cleveland Browns 2012: It's Going to be a Rough Season!

The Cleveland Browns football team has not had a great road since inducted back into the National Football League after a three year hiatus leading up to 1999. With a lackluster 54 wins since the team posted back in Cleveland, there is much to be desired for the franchise. Obviously, stats lead us to know that there is no reason to revisit what Cleveland has not accomplished in...
