Meadors (5' 11", 194 lbs) was among a group of players that worked out for the team this week, ahead of the Browns preseason game against Washington on Friday night. We also wrote about a few additional roster moves the team has made over the last several hours with signing of running back Jordan Wilkins, waiving safety Bubba Bolden and placing linebacker Jacob Phillips on season ending injured reserve.
Meadors spent time on the Browns practice squad during the 2021 season. Aside from three games that he played early in his career with Minnesota, he has bounced around the league on practice squads, most recently with the Tennessee Titans. He has recorded a total of two tackles during his NFL career.
Meadors also played this past season in the XFL, with the St. Louis Battlehawks. He will help provide depth at the safety position during the final two games of preseason after the injury to Bubba Bolden. The team is also waiting for undrafted free agent safety Tanner McCallister to return from injury.
