The Buffalo Bills have become a trendy offseason pick as a team on the rise and about ready to reach the next level, knocking on the door of the playoffs. Bills RB C.J. Spiller however thinks the Bills are closer to being a Super Bowl team. The Bills are currently in the midst of a 12-year playoff drought, last reaching the post-season in 1999. Since 1999, Buffalo has only posted a season record over .500 once, going 9-7 in 2004.
Speaking this week on Sirius XM radio, Spiller declared the Bills close to being a Super Bowl team. “We split with New England. We had the Giants on the ropes. We are close to being a Super Bowl team. We have to protect the ball.”
I tend to agree with several pundits which like Buffalo’s playoff chances this season. Buffalo started the 2011 season 5-2 and then fell off in the second half. That fade in the second half could be in part to the fact that the Bills haven’t ‘learned’ how to win yet, but I believe that regression was due in part to Ryan Fitzgera...

Buffalo Bills: 5 Who Need To Put Up or Shut Up In 2012
As we move into the slowest month of the NFL offseason, we often take this time to truly reflect on a team, season, or player; both what has come before, and what may soon lie ahead.
In the case of the Buffalo Bills, last season saw the re-emergence of hope in the Queen City, as several relatively new names (Fitzpatrick, Dareus, Barnett, Jackson) tried, unsuccessfully, to cast off...
CJ Spiller Says Bills Are Close to Being a Super Bowl Team
Before you laugh just remember almost every year a team comes from nowhere to become Super Bowl contenders (for instance the 49ers last year).
Could it be the Bills?
“We split with New England [last year],” Spiller said. “We had the Giants on the ropes. We are close to being a Super Bowl team.”
The lack of recent success hasn’t dampened the enthusiasm in...
Bills, Jairus Byrd talking extension
Jairus Byrd is arguably the Bills’ 2nd best defensive player (after 100 million dollar man Mario Williams) and he was ProFootballFocus’ 3rd rated safety last year, ahead of notables like Ed Reed and franchise players Michael Griffin, Dashon Goldson, and Tyvon Branch. Only Troy Polamalu and Adrian Wilson rated higher than him. However, the 2009 2nd round pick is unsigned after...

Bills RB C.J. Spiller Says Team Is Close To Being Super Bowl Contenders
The Buffalo Bills havent been to the playoffs since 1999, but in Buffalo no one seems to care about that because at least one player thinks they are might be on the brink of something special. Running back C.J. Spiller certainly think his team can be back to the days of the early 1990′s when the Bills were regularly competing (and losing) in the Super Bowl. We split with New...
Buffalo Bills Legend Jim Kelly Wishes QB Problems for Jets
JoeAccording to NY Daily News, Jim Kelly is hoping for some sort of QB controversy for Mark Sanchez, and Tim Tebow.
Kelly is one of the greatest QB’s in NFL history. He led the Bills to four straight Super Bowls, but he fell short in all four of them. He hopes the Jets suffer in a different way than he did in the past early this season.
The longtime Bills QB is still a big fan...
