Found October 13, 2013 on Fox Sports:
Cam Newton's 4-touchdown performance had him feeling great about himself, and it should. After four games of looking like a shell of his former self, he broke out against the Vikings defense in a 35-10 win in Minnesota. Well, all of that excitement nearly led to an accident on the sideline as he was trotting off the field in celebration and nearly ran over FOX NFL Sunday sideline reporter Laura Okmin. The Panthers' third-year quarterback, fortunately, caught Okmin before she hit the turf. It hasn't been a good season for sideline reporters as this isn't the first incident Okmin has dodged. Bears cornerback Charles Tillman saved Okmin from a moving sideline camera in Week 2: Also, Pam Oliver sustained a concussion after getting hit in the head and was almost run over by The Ohio State marching band in a pre-game report.

Carolina Panthers dominate Vikings 35-10; What they’re saying

MINNEAPOLIS – The Carolina Panthers (2-3) showed up…big…completely dominating the emotion-laced Minnesota Vikings (1-4) Sunday. The Vikings outstanding running back, Adrian Peterson was grieving his 2-year-old son’s senseless death and the team seemed to be joining him. This does not mean, in any way, to denigrate the outstanding game played by the Panthers. All aspects...

Nine amazing stats from NFL Week 7

Certainly, no one expected the Jacksonville Jaguars to be any good in 2013, so their 0-6 record isn't very startling. But four combined wins and...

Could the Panthers’ future not include Cam Newton?

Much has been made of several comments Dave Gettleman has made regarding Cam Newton and “pocket passers”. Could the Panthers new GM really be considering moving forward without one of the league’s most dynamic young playmakers? I don't like to do this but I am going to begin this article with a disclaimer. Due in part to another poor start by the Carolina Panthers and...

Is Cam Newton the right guy to lead Panthers?

Cam Newton’s passer rating is 78.4 which is 25th in the NFL behind EJ Manuel and in front of Matt Schaub. ESPN’s more extensive Total Quarterback Rating drops Newton to 28th behind Schaub and in front of Eli Manning. Frustrated fans of the Carolina Panthers criticize Newton more harshly than they have since 2011 when broadcaster and former coach Jon Gruden asked Newton terminology...

Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers roll past Vikings 35-10

The good Cam Newton showed up Sunday and the Panthers followed their quarterback's lead to an easy win. A week after taking a beating and losing four turnovers in a loss at Arizona Newton accounted for four touchdowns Sunday as the Panthers blew out the Vikings 35-10 before an unhappy crowd at the Metrodome. In their two victories against the Giants (0-6) and Vikings (1-4)...

GIF: Cam Newton nearly runs through sideline reporter, then saves the day

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton collided with Fox sideline reporter Laura Okmin, but then saved the day by keeping her on her feet.

Cam Newton Throws Beautiful 79-Yard Touchdown Pass, Ted Ginn Jr. Lights Up Vikings Defender With Bone-Crushing Block (GIF)

The Carolina Panthers absolutely annihilated the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, and Cam Newton played a big role in the blowout. Newton led the Panthers on five touchdown drives on the day, accounting for four of them on his own (three passing and one rushing). His best play of the day, though was a pretty 79-yard strike to wide receiver Brandon LaFell down the right side. On the first...

Minnesota Vikings News – Vikings Can’t Keep Pace With Newton And Panthers

Sunday was a day to forget for Minnesota Vikings fans after they got clobbered by the Carolina Panthers 35-10 in a route that brought the Vikings to a 1-4 record and sole possession of being the cellar dwellers of the NFC North.  In a day where Carolina’s Cam Newton combined for 4 touchdowns, 3 through the air and 1 on the ground, Minnesota’s Matt Cassel went for a meager 241...

Newton nets 4 TDs as Panthers pummel Vikings

MINNEAPOLIS The Carolina Panthers were sympathetic to Adrian Peterson's grief. They weren't going to take it easy on him, though. Peterson's tumultuous week ended with a quiet Sunday because the Panthers made all the noise. Cam Newton threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score, and the Panthers romped past the mourning running back and the Minnesota Vikings...

5 things to note after Panthers defeat Vikings

As the final seconds ticked down, Cam Newton walked across the field to find Adrian Peterson and offered a warm embrace. It was a moment of comfort for Peterson, who was playing two days after his 2-year-old son was killed in an alleged case of child abuse in South Dakota. Newton also comforted some anxious Carolina Panthers fans on Sunday with a performance more fitting of the...

Newton Leads Panthers in 35-10 Thrashing of Vikings

With a little over two minutes left in the first half of last week’s matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, the Carolina Panthers and head coach Ron Rivera faced a 4th and 1. Rivera, who passed up a chip shot field goal with the game knotted at three apiece, wanted a first down. From the Arizona 15-yard-line, quarterback Cam Newton grabbed the snap and nailed wide receiver Brandon...

Minnesota Vikings: Week 6 Recap

In my week 6 preview, I said the Vikings had to do three things well in order to win on Sunday; get great play from their offensive line, get good pressure on Cam Newton while containing his running game, and get good play from Matt Cassel at quarterback with an emphasis on zero turnovers. None of these three things happened, and it led to a long day for the team in purple. The Vikings...

By the numbers: Smith a thorn to Vikings

The Vikings are concentrating on stopping QB Cam Newton, but to do that they have to contain WR Steve Smith and that hasn’t happened often for them. Plus, an extensive look at the team and individual rankings for the Vikings and Panthers.

Mike Tolbert scores touchdown, busts out spanking TD dance

Carolina Panthers runningback Mike Tolbert caught this shovel pass from Cam Newton and turned in a bruising run to get into the end zone.  Once he was there, he busted out a spanking TD dance, giving Joseph Fauria competition for funniest TD dance of the day.
