Found December 05, 2012 on Juan Elway:
We played a game Juan? Last season Cam Newton went to the Pro Bowl and pretty much acted a fool with his fellow NFL brethren.  His maturity or lack thereof really rubbed a lot of the players the wrong way. Pete Prisco: “The reason: Newton dissed some of his brethren at the Pro Bowl,” Prisco wrote. “According to several players in the game, some from both teams, Newton’s standoffish, diva ways made him enemy No. 1 in the eyes of some of the players.” “So when Newton turned down one player’s request for an autograph and a picture for his kids at a function, it angered the player,” Prisco added. “That player said Newton did the unthinkable and even dissed Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis. “Said another player: ‘It didn’t matter who it was, he didn’t care about anybody but himself.’” Has this attitude spilled over to the 2012 season.  Maybe it has. Pat Yasinskas: “What does last season’s Pro Bowl have to do with what’s happening with Newton and the Panthers this season? Perhaps a lot. If Newton’s teammates perceive him the same way the players at the Pro Bowl did, he might not be a popular figure in the locker room. If your quarterback isn’t popular in the locker room, that’s never a good thing. That (as well as a bad defense) might be a major reason why the Panthers are 3-9.” Bradshaw Friendly Outside Of JCPenney Dame Lilliard Poses With Andrew Luck

Panthers QB Cam Newton was targeted and possibly hazed at 2012 Pro Bowl

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton has been in the headlines quite a bit during his sophomore season, and unfortunately for him, none of it has been good news.During last year’s Pro Bowl, Newton was knocked around a bit by a pass rush that usually doesn’t happen, he was sacked (which hardly ever happens), and he threw three interceptions.  Needless to say it was not a great day...

Cam Newton: I could care less about stats

The 2012 season has been a trying one for Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. A 6-10 season in 2011 showed signs of promise for Panthers fans, who expected their team to be in playoff contention this year. That has not happened, and much of the blame has fallen on Newton’s shoulders. Last season, Newton lit up the stat sheet and set a number of NFL rookie quarterback records...

The Penalty Flag is happy to announce a partnership with Courtyard by Marriott, the official hotel sponsor for the National Football League (NFL). It’s not easy to play on the road in the NFL. Just ask Cam Newton, Matt Stafford or Mark Ingram. Each stadium brings a unique atmosphere and has a way of electrifying their players to achieve greatness. If you’ve missed it, Courtyard...

A report says that Cam Newton was disrespectful at the Pro Bowl and that that may have been a reason he was targeted during the game.

Cam Newton Wasn’t Liked Among AFC Pro Bowlers For Diva Attitude

A lot of people seem to have a problem with Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. Apparently that includes his NFL brethren. That dislike is why the AFC Pro Bowlers played a little different when the 2011 rookie was in the game last year, according to Pete Prisco of CBS Sports. Newton was the only quarterback sacked — by fellow rookie Von Miller — and Texans defensive end...

Report: Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton was “a total @#!hole.”

Some unnamed NFL players are criticizing Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton for having a “diva” attitude. CBS Sports’ Senior NFL Columnist Pete Prisco is reporting that the grudge actually dates back to the way Newton acted around players and their families during the 2012 Pro Bowl last January. “He was a total @#!hole,” one AFC player said. “Who did he think...
