Mike Jurecki is “hearing“ that the Arizona Cardinals could have interest in free agent DT Sedrick Ellis. Ellis, 27, is a former first-round pick of the New Orleans Saints, but he has yet to live up to his draft status. This offseason, Ellis has found almost no interest on the open market, despite the fact that he’s still young and there were very few options available at defensive tackle. Arizona could use some additional depth on their defensive line and they should be able to get him under contract for a very reasonable sum of money. The problem with Ellis is that he offers almost nothing in terms of interior pass rush and has also struggled against the run in recent years, so he’s really more a guy who just takes up space. If he’s signed at some point in the near future, it’s doubtful that he would be guaranteed a roster spot.   The post Cardinals Could Be An Option For Free Agent DT Sedrick Ellis appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.

In fact, Reid is one of my very favorite Saints bloggers to read and I recommend you follow him on twitter to get more familiar with his stuff. His post got me thinking not just about the safety position, but the entire defense. Remember when football in the 80s and 90s was played...

Is Chris Ivory Atop the Depth Chart with Jets?

Well after weeks of speculation, the New York Jets finally pulled the trigger and acquired the services of running back Chris Ivory from the New Orleans Saints for a fourth round pick. The Saints have had Ivory stashed away for quite some time and had been trying to move him this off-season. The Jets were in need of running back depth after Shonn Greene signed in Tennessee. New York...
