The Cardinals announced Monday that the team has agreed to terms with first-round draft pick Michael Floyd on a five-year contract and third-round selection Jamell Fleming on a four-year deal, meaning all seven of the their 2012 draft picks are under contract. Terms of the deals were not disclosed Floyd, a wide receiver out of Notre Dame, established school records with 271 receptions for 3,686 yards and 37 touchdowns in 43 career games. The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder also set a single-season school record as a senior in 2011 with 100 receptions for 1,147 yards and nine touchdowns. His 1,147 receiving yards ranked as the fourth-best season total in school history, and he was named a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award, which goes to the nations top receiver. A native of St. Paul, Minn., Floyd is expected to step into the Cardinals' starting lineup as a complement to Larry Fitzgerald. Fleming, a cornerback out of Oklahoma, earned All-Big 12 first-team honors as a senior in 2011 after starting 11 games and recording 60 tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery that he returned for a touchdown. Fleming was named Defensive MVP of the Fiesta Bowl as a junior and then was named Defensive MVP of the Insight Bowl as a senior, with both games being played in the Valley. The 5-foot-11, 206-pound native of Dallas, Texas, finished his collegitate career with 24 starts, 51 appearances, 131 tackles, seven interceptions, 24 passes defended, 12.5 tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Fleming will be competing for playing time opposite Patrick Peterson along with Greg Toler, A.J. Jefferson and free-agent signee William Gay. The starting job is open due to the loss of veteran Richard Marshall in free agency.
