Chip Kelly and Howie Roseman continue to shape and re-shape the Philadelphia Eagles 53-man roster. The final cuts on the 31st weren’t exactly “final” and some players you may have hoped for the practice squad haven’t made it.
The biggest names of the final cuts included 2011 first-round bust Danny Watkins, Clay Harbor, Chris McCoy, Greg Salas and Russell Shepard. Watkins wasn’t a surprise, but Harbor, McCoy and both Salas and Shepard were mildly surprising.
Notable names that didn’t get cut and who are still on the roster are Casey Matthews, Kurt Coleman, Emil Igwenagu and Jeff Maehl. They kept Matthews over McCoy? Igwenagu over Harbor? Maehl over Salas and Shepard?
And both of the starting safeties who were large parts of the last two historically bad seasons in the secondary are still here?
Special teams, that’s what gives. That’s the only logical reason I can think of as to why the roster shook out like it did. Ultimately, we’re talking the back-end of the roste
BEST OF MAXIM
The Chip Kelly era is going to begin much like the Andy Reid era ended.
So says the Worldwide Leader, anyway.
In their annual NFL preview issue, ESPN predicted that the Eagles will lose 41-0 to the division-rival Redskins, Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com reported.
Coincidentally -- or not -- the game will be broadcast on ESPN as part of their Week 1 Monday Night Football double-header...

KNOW YOUR OPPONENT
The Bills' Stevie Johnson has already started the trash talk towards their Week 1 opponent, the New England Patriots. However, Johnson may want to know the Pats roster a little better if he wants to keep on yapping.
You can call it nepotism, but I don't care--- if it works...

Michael Vick was in poor financial shape after going to prison for running his Bad Newz Kennels dog fighting ring, and he filed for bankruptcy in 2008. Vick had to give back some of the signing bonus money he accepted from the Atlanta Falcons, and he owed millions of dollars in outstanding debts. But after […]
Stevie Johnson might know a thing or two about being a consistent WR in the NFL. He doesn’t study depth charts though. I like that he knows Patrick Chung ‘personally’, but I guess they never spoke about what team he plays for. See the quote below:
“I don’t think they got nobody that can stop me,” Johnson said this afternoon at One Bills Drive. “For real.”
Former first-round draft pick Danny Watkins has signed a $555,000, one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins after being cut by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Watkins, a guard, spent two seasons with the Eagles and started 18 games before losing his job early last year. He was a surprise choice with the 23rd overall selection at age 26 when the Eagles made him the oldest first-round pick...

In the late summer of 2005, Terrell Owens, star wide receiver of the Philadelphia Eagles, was doing sit-ups in his driveway instead of catching footballs from Donovan McNabb at training camp. To this day, I’m not entirely sure why. Perhaps T.O. realized that he would go broke soon after his career ended and would be […]The post Here Is The Most Unwearable Jersey For All 32 NFL...
