After a disappointing 2011 season with the New England Patriots, receiver Chad Johnson joined the Miami Dolphins in the 2012 off-season. Now Johnson tells the Sun-Sentinel that he plans to play until he is 40 years old.

The 34 year old told the Sun-Sentinel, ”I’m going to play ’til I’m 40 years old, and this year I’m going to show the world I can”. Johnson has goals this year which include showing the NFL, and their fans, that he has not lost his skill or his charm. The Dolphins have given Johnson the green light to be himself this season.

Johnson is changing his life in another way this off-season as he plans on getting married to Basketball Wives starlet Evelyn Lozada on Wednesday in St. Martin. The wedding will be filmed for his VH-1 reality show and Johnson says he will be live tweeting to his 3.5 million followers throughout the wedding. Something, Johnson admitted, that will most likely irritate his future wife. ”Evelyn hates that I’m so sociable. Too accessible,”

After the wedding, Johnson will go back to work to become the same receiver he was in the past. In fact, the receiver wants to race Clyde Gates, the Dolphins speedster, some time during the pre-season.

“There is physically nothing wrong with me.  I want to race Clyde [Gates] right now, Ochocinco said, referring to a teammate who ran the 40-yard dash in 4.31 seconds at the Scouting Combine.  “I’ve asked him.  I’ve still got it.  I’m a lot smarter and I’m still fast.”
