One of the big surprises in the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-19 loss to the Denver Broncos Sunday night was that wide receiver Antonio Brown returned punts in the game instead of rookie running back Chris Rainey. Perhaps this was just head coach Mike Tomlin and special teams coach Amos Jones sending the rookie some sort of a message early in the season as the decision appeared to catch the Florida product off guard on game day.
Alan Robinson of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported Thursday morning that Rainey said that he was disappointed in being bumped. "It was his (Jones') call, so that's him," Read more [...]

ESPN’s Bill Williamson is reporting that the NFL has fined Rahim Moore $21,000.00 for his hit on Emmanuel Sanders during the 3rd quarter of Sunday Night’s game against the Steelers. An odd and highly debatable decision after many football pundits (former players and analysts alike) said the play should have never been flagged. It also led to extending a Steelers drive out...

As much as Harrison wants to play, I’m not sure his knee will be healthy enough. He could end up being a game time decision.
Season 3, Episode 15 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd I start of by recapping the Tuesday press conference of Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and recap the injury situation heading into the week.

It’s 8:45 a.m. in Denver, which means Denver Broncos second year safety Rahim Moore has already been at it for three hours.

The Pittsburgh Steelers very well might be without the services of linebacker James Harrison and safety Troy Polamalu Sunday when they face the New York Jets, but the Jets face the possibility of being without several key players themselves.
On Thursday, guard Dennis Landolt (knee) was ruled out for the game while tight end Dustin Keller (hamstring), safety LaRon Landry (heel...
Denver, CO. The regular season opener for the Denver Broncos was everything that any fan of the orange and blue could have wanted. Peyton Manning was back, and looked very similar to his old self. The defense showed some major play-making ability, with a few sacks and even an interception return for a TD when the game was on the line. The entire team looked focused and expecting...
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is gearing up for this Sunday's battle with the New York Jets. While Tomlin is preparing to defend New York's Wildcat offense, it appears NFL teams have gone to school on the once-vaunted attack.
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is from a family that has some pretty unique names. His father is Archie Manning and his brother is Eli Manning, whose full name is Elisha Nelson Manning. However did Peyton Manning spark a resurgence of parents naming their new girls Peyton? According to babycenter.com, girls were named Peyton 258 per million babies in 1995 and when Manning...
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. Coming off a 19-for-26 performance for 253 passing yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions in an impressive 31-19 victory over Pittsburgh, Denver quarterback Peyton Manning showed the football world last Sunday that while he might have been playing his first game in two seasons, he is no less dangerous a player.
On Monday night when he visits the Georgia...
Denver Broncos (1-0) at Atlanta Falcons (1-0)
If it wasn’t for Green Bay/Chicago, this would be the game of the week. Actually, scratch that, Green Bay/Chicago was an incredibly ugly game that should have been the game of the week, but wasn’t because teams only had 3 days to prepare and played much worse than they normally do. I hate this new one game on Thursday every week thing...
