It must be true that great minds think alike. LaVar Arrington wrote today that the Washington Redskins are bringing a knife to a gunfight in the competition for Robert Griffin III. The Cleveland Browns have more to offer in a trade-up scenario than the Redskins do. Arrington got his story out first, so I won't steal much of his thunder. His main points are that Cleveland's No. 4 pick is a more valuable offer to St. Louis than Washington's No. 6 picks. Arrington points out that Cleveland is in the AFC and so would RG3 if the Rams do business with the Browns. What's more is that Cleveland has two first round picks (No. 4 and No. 22) in this year's Draft to work with, thanks to the deal they worked with Atlanta for Julio Jones last season. That's powerful. St. Louis won't use both picks. One will be traded down for more picks to help a talent-starved team. Every scenario I think of has the Redskins offering their first round 2012 and 2013 picks. That 2013...

Hillis considered retiring to join CIA

According to reports, Browns running back Peyton Hillis not only fired his third agent in 12 months, he also contemplated retiring last season and ruminated a possible career with the CIA.

Redskins franchise Fred Davis, Chris Cooley & LaRon Landry left out in the cold?

WASHINGTON, March 3- Yesterday, the Redskins made a decision in their often debated franchise scenario and placed the tag on TE Fred Davis. Since the end of last season, it has been a game of Davis vs. safety LaRon Landry and apparently Davis won out. In the 2011 campaign, Davis emerged as a potential superstar in the Skins passing game hauling in 59 passes for 796 yards and three...

LaRon Landry probably won’t be returning to the Redskins next season

Redskins safety LaRon Landry’s new pumped up physique has been heavily discussed now. But judging by the move the Redskins made by giving Fred Davis their franchise tag, the assumption is that the free agent will be moving on to another team next season. Landry’s durability is questionable. Clearly we aren’t talking upper body strength [...]

Five Most Laughable Teams in the NFL

5. Washington Redskins The Redskins aren't the worst franchise, but they are the worst at signing free agents. The Redskins think they can sign people and make them better - but when they sign them - they slack off. Not saying any names *Cough Cough* Albert Haynesworth. If you are a Redskins fan, when they started off 3-0, I bet you smiled more than the day your kids were born...

NFL to investigate the Redskins’ involvement in bounty program

According to Mike Jones of the Washington Post, the NFL will now turn their attention to the Washington Redskins and their possible involvement in former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams’ bounty program. Williams coached for the Redskins from 2004-2007. The NFL plans on investigating the Redskins because of the accusations of their involvement in the situation so they can determine...

Peyton Hillis On His Way Out Of Cleveland?

The Cleveland Browns decided not to franchise tag their starting running back for the past two seasons, Peyton Hillis. In fact, Hillis has contemplated leaving the game altogether to begin a career with the CIA. After being traded by the Denver Broncos, Hillis had a breakout season in 2010, his first year in Cleveland. He rushed for 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns while giving the...

Peyton Hillis, Latest Victim of 'Madden Curse,' Reportedly Considered Leaving Football to Join CIA

The name's Hillis. Peyton Hillis. After rushing for 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns (catching another two) in 2010, a statistical output good enough to earn him an appearance on the cover of Madden 12, the Cleveland Browns running back was a dud in 2011. Hillis appeared in just 10 games, compiling only 587 yards and watching his yards per carry dip from 4.4 in 2010 to 3.6 in 2011...

CIA? MIA? Anything's possible with Hillis

Running back Peyton Hillis is a little less than two weeks from hitting the free agent market. He's bringing baggage. The latest "news" -- if you can call it that -- in the seemingly never-ending drama involving Hillis and the Cleveland Browns is a report that leaked Thursday that said Hillis became so frustrated during the 2011 season that he considered retiring...

Report: Peyton Hillis contemplated retirement, joining CIA last season

We’ve had a lot of chatter about Peyton Hillis‘ future with the Browns over the last few days, but none of it has dealt with the Central Intelligence Agency. That ends right now. As part of a report that supports the idea that the Browns won’t use the franchise tag on the running back, Adam…
