It’s safe to say Donald Driver is going after the DWTS title with a driven lunacy. He just may wind up winning it. Green Bay Packers risqué receiver DONALD DRIVER is pulling out all the stops (and starts) with his fourth dance routine during Rock Week on Dancing With The Stars. Check his latest performance… Never mind that Dancin’ Donald looks like a tattooed Michael Jordan (w/tongue included in the package deal) reincarnated as a bare chested gypsy…the Packers all-time leading receiver and dance partner Peta Murgatroyd scored triple 9s with this sultry performance, garnering 27 out of a possible 30 points from DWTS judges… Driver is indeed going at this dance title thingy like it’s the Super Bowl…and he’s intent to being the MVP. Some 1st round Trade-Up Scenarios for Packers GM Ted Thompson

Hmmmmm, who can I hoodwink? With the Packers already holding the maximum 12 picks in the upcoming 2012 NFL Draft, the odds would seem to favor seeing the Packers trade-up in one of the early rounds, in exchange for giving up multiple picks in later rounds. Of course, with Ted Thompson, that’s only going to happen if a player he covets is unexpectedly within reach, but unlikely...

Green Bay Packers Offseason Program Set to Begin Next Week

Packers OTAs to begin soon While fans may have forgotten what an actual NFL offseason looks like thanks to last year’s lockout, the Green Bay Packers are set to begin their offseason program (OTAs) next week. Teams with new head coaches, such as the Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams, were able to begin their programs last week, but Mike McCarthy and crew won...

Which Soph Will Step Up for Pack?

Smith is one of a number of second-year players who could step up for the Packers in 2012 A couple of things absolutely must happen if the Packers are going to improve on defense in 2012. One, general manager Ted Thompson must come up with an impact player in next month’s draft. And two, B.J. Raji and Tramon Williams must bounce back from disappointing seasons. Another thing that...

Healthy Green Equals Excitement

Talented young running back should contribute in 2012 Regardless of which players general manager Ted Thompson chooses in the upcoming draft, I doubt any of them will excite me as much as a young player already on the roster. I’m referring to Alex Green, the second-year running back whose rookie season was ended by a torn ACL in week 7. According to Mike McCarthy, rehabilitation...

Packing the Stats: Numbers and Notes From Around the Web

As you may know from reading my past blog posts, I love me some stats. I don’t think they’re the be-all and end-all when it comes to football, but I do think they are a useful tool to use when analyzing a team, a unit, or a player. Perhaps that’s why I enjoy following sites like Pro Football Focus (PFF) and Football Outsiders (FO). These two groups of data crunchers put a lot...

Ex-Packers start 'Three Fat Guys' wine label

Three Fat Guys wine. It's a silly name for a pricey bottle of cabernet sauvignon, but that's exactly the way that these three NFL offensive linemen like it. Daryn Colledge, Tony Moll and Jason Spitz -- all of whom were drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2006 -- spent the past several years working to create their very own wine label. With business opportunities now coming...

Packers, FS Nick Collins To Meet This Week To Discuss His Future

The Sports Xchange reports that Nick Collins and his agents are expected to huddle with team officials in Green Bay the week of April 8, perhaps bringing closure to the guessing game on whether Collins will be able to resume his playing career. Collins last played the second week of the 2011 NFL season, when he sustained a career-threatening neck injury while attempting an open-field...

Packers FS Nick Collins Optimistic About NFL Return

Roughly six months after New York-based spinal surgeon Frank Cammisa opened a hole in the front of Nick Collins' neck and repaired a herniated disc by fusing two of his vertebrae together, the Packers safety is nearing decision time regarding his career according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. And to be sure, Collins wants to play. He has reiterated to...

Megatron spikes Gronk; faces Rodgers in Madden ’13 cover semis

Despite Rob Gronkowski’s lame theatrics, Calvin Johnson advanced to the semifinals of the Madden ’13 cover tournament. It wasn’t much of a contest as Megatron beat Gronk 63% to 37%. Calvin now faces intra-division rival, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.  Should he advance passed Rodgers, he will face the winner of San Francisco 49ers stud linebacker Patrick Willis and Carolina...

Small-School Rusher Intrigues Packers

The Packers grabbed Nick Collins from Bethune-Cookman ... might they go back for Ryan Davis? Davis finished among the nation's leaders in sacks, tackles for losses and forced fumbles. He talked to Packer Report about his path to the NFL and what he likes about Clay Matthews.

Haha, Clay Matthews Wears Diapers

Have we seen this already? Is everyone aware that Green Bay Packers linebacker not only looks like a woman, but pees in his pants like a baby too?My favorite part is how Matthews plays all tough right away, but then basically dives two feet first into a diaper the MOMENT a manlier man like Wes Welker is all like, "**** yeah, I'll wear diapers...

49ers sign Brett Swain

The San Francisco 49ers agreed to terms on a one-year deal with wide receiver Brett Swain, according to his agent. Swain is a former Green Bay Packers seventh-round draft pick who caught six passes for 72 yards with three tackles on special teams two seasons ago.

Maria Menounos: Still Irritating

Maria Menounos, last seen winning a women’s tag team match at Wrestlemania, usually performs the task of being the entertainment media’s envoy whenever a Big Sports Thing needs to given lip service. As such, she would be doing a decent enough of being bubbly in front of athletes save for the fact that her dippy Boston homerism needs to be on display at all times. Listen, we...
