FOXBORO, Mass. – After missing practice last week and Thursday night’s game, Danny Amendola returned to the Patriots’ practice field on Monday afternoon.
Amendola was out on the main practice field participating in team drills. He did not appear to be hindered by any ailment. Since the Patriots are playing their fourth preseason game on Thursday night, it’s possible Amendola still doesn’t play even if he’s fully healthy. Starters typically won’t play much in the fourth preseason game.
Jermaine Cunningham also returned to the practice field after weeks of being completely absent with an undisclosed injury. After warmups, he went to the side field to work with Mark Harrison, Rob Gronkowski and Alfonzo Dennard. Gronkowski was jogging and catching passes while working with trainers on the Revolution’s soccer practice field.
Among players who missed Thursday’s game that were full participants were Ras-I Dowling, Daniel Fells and Justin Francis.

But it’s an obvious comparison given that Amendola...
