TEAMS: New York Jets
New Tampa Bay Buccaneer cornerback Darrelle Revis wanted to take a parting shot at the team he feels betrayed him. Revis while rehabbing his injured knee, found out the Jets were willing to trade him in February through the media, but to his face they said they wanted him. What became a circus of sorts, the cornerback maintains he wanted to stay a Jet, but GM John Idzik flat out lied to him. According to Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com, though he’s now in Tampa Bay, he’s still puzzled on what went wrong. "I feel like I haven't gotten the truth (from the Jets)," Revis said. "Anybody who tells you, 'You're going to be a Jet,' but what's the truth? ... Definitely I feel like I haven't gotten the truth." "I know it's a lie." "Woody doesn’t want to talk to me. He stayed as far away as he could. ... As a friend, I feel for Rex. He played a big part in my career. I feel for him," Revis said.
