D’Brickashaw Ferguson Says The Jets Have “Greatness” Written All Over Them

This must be “Offensive Lineman Puff Their Chest Out Day”.  Wonder if that is a paid holiday?

First, Ryan Kalil guaranteeing Super Bowl wins and now D’Brickashaw Ferguson putting in his two cents on how great the Jets are.

They say never to discuss politics or religion at a dinner party. At New York Jets training camp, expect a similar taboo viewpoint for questions that involve both Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow.

For what it’s worth, Ferguson believes Sanchez’s three seasons of experience — both in success and failure — makes him “the perfect man for the job.”

“We’re going to do some nice things this year. The focus should be on what’s gonna happen this year, and what’s in our power to do,” he said. “We have greatness written all over us. It’s just a matter of time.”

Great thing about the NFL is that everyone gets a clean slate when the season starts and history shows that teams can go from bad to Super Bowl winners fairly quickly.  The Jets aren’t a bad team, they had a sub-par year, but previous to that they went to two AFC Championship games, so their window isn’t closed.

There is a lot of talk of Dynasties and Greatness now, but the fact of the matter is you still have to prove it on the field. Words and newspaper ads don’t matter once they blow the whistle.

FYI D’Brickashaw is still the worst name in the universe.
